We were a group of five and reserved a table for 6pm. We ordered food and wine. The service was professional and fast. Each dish was delicious. Pay attention to the following: 1. Thai food is spicy so you need to consult with the waiter about how spicy you want your food 😀. Especially the Som Tam. 2. The portions of food on each dish is relatively bigger than regular Thai restaurants that's why the dish prices are more expensive. 3. Reserve a table in advance because this restaurant is very busy in the high season. If you book in advance, you may get a table inside the restaurant with good A/C 👍🏻. When we left at 7:30pm there was a long waiting que outside.

We were two people and went two times to Phensiri for dinner. We had to wait a few minutes because its very popular but waiting is definitely worth it. We loved the atmosphere and the food was delicious. One of our favorite restaurants in Thailand. The staff is very friendly.

Keep in mind, if you want to pay with card there is a 3% fee.

We had a wonderful family lunch at Phensiri restaurant. The ambiance was delightful, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that was perfect for families. The staff greeted us warmly and made us feel truly special. The food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. I highly recommend this restaurant. Another aspect that stood out was their certification as Halal, which is quite rare to find but greatly appreciated. We will definitely be visiting again in the future.

I tried this restaurant February of last year because someone we met on a tour suggested it. It was a shame that it was our last day and we couldn’t try more dishes. But I’ve been craving it ever since! This time we only ordered the yellow crab curry and the minced chicken basil with rice and they worth it! Planning to come back before the end of the trip to try the other dishes.
Edit: we came back for our last meal! It didn’t disappoint!

Take away was as good as being there. I have experienced bad takeaway - the food becomes soggy, sauces spilling out, everything in disarray but the meal I got yesterday was fabulous. The platter was awesome. Everything tasted as it should taste together they sang a tune. The papaya salad was not too acidic nor sweet. The rolls could do with more savoury but it was delightful as well. I might have gotten the mango rice too if it wasn’t too much for one. I’d come back for sure!

Delicious food. A shame we discovered it on our last night - otherwise we would have loved to go again and try other dishes! Gets busy so make a booking!

Lunch here was delicious and the coffee also really good (cappuccino). Friendly attentive staff. Super clean bathrooms. I recommend the stir fried cashew dish it was our favourite.

Here, industrial sauces are nowhere to be found; every ingredient is meticulously sourced from the nearby market. The guiding principle is 0km Food—where nothing is factory-made. Freshness is paramount, especially when it comes to the fish, sourced directly from local fishermen rather than fish farms. Every dish is lovingly prepared according to recipes passed down through generations or inventive creations from the kitchen, all aimed at showcasing the rich tapestry of flavors the island has to offer. Celebrating 11 years, Phensiri has weathered every storm with grace—and with each passing year, it only continues to elevate its culinary prowess.

By far our best restaurant experience on Samui. Felt authentic and was really tasty. Service was really good too. Prices a little touristy but, at this restaurant, it was worth it.

Phensiri has set a high standard for our meals for the rest of our trip. We had the roast duck red curry, stir fried fresh and juicy crab with onions and curry powder, and fried egg with basil (off menu item), each dish was excellent. Unlike other eateries, the roast duck is separately roasted topped on the curry as opposed to being cooked in the curry so you could still taste the crisp of the skin.

Attentive service by our waitress, Pon, who suggested that we have the restaurant serve the crab peeled as we did not want to get our hands dirty and periodically checked in on us throughout our meal to make sure the food was satisfactory. The food is cooked fresh so Pon prepared us for a wait as there was an earlier group who placed a large order ahead of us at 6.30pm; so do go early if you do not want to wait!

Planning to head back to try other dishes on their menu, particularly the fried shrimp balls, if our schedule permits!

Phensiri been several times since 2020 true Thai food specializing in southern food and my favorite “ pla kuem”. Dried fish. Do try the “ stor “ beans for a unique flavor and nam prik krabee

A wonderful outdoor Thai restaurant with a small air-conditioned indoor section and an extensive menu. The food was a bit tastier one year ago, but it is still very good.
The restaurant also stopped allowing people to smoke on the patio, which greatly improved the atmosphere. Make a reservation for dinnertime as the wait can be long.

Lovely lovely ambience at this restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful as well.

Prices are definitely high (about 200-300b per dish) but it’s a great place to treat yourself at the start or end of the trip! The food was absolutely delicious and quite different from even the usually excellent Thai street food we had. I particularly liked the pineapple fried rice! Very tasty and it had some special herbs in it to elevate the taste.

Would definitely come back again someday!

Nice place, Pad Thai was good (but not the best one I tried) and fried banana dessert was great

Great restaurant and amazing atmosphere. We were looking for authentic fried red snapper with tamarind sauce which I had five years back at another restaurant. It was good, just wish it was served with more sauce to top on the fish. Lovely restaurant. I would recommend.

Amazing authentic southern Thai dishes! We came around 7:30pm on a Thursday night and it was busy however we were seated within 5 minutes. If you would like an authentic Thai experience, ask the server for the “locals menu.” The menu is in Thai but easily translated to your desired language with google translate! We got #40, 44, and 46 which were all so delicious. The flavor profiles were on point! I am a fan of spice and usually order things spicy but even I thought this was very spicy. So if you don’t like spice, make sure to let them know! Best restaurant in Koh Samui!

Atmosphere, food, service and prices all thumb up👍 blue swimmer crab curry had so much plump meat in it and very tasty. The sauce that accompanies the Tod man fish cakes was superb.
