Absolutely delicious food with warm, friendly service. There’s so many unique Thai dishes each with their own spin. The presentation was fantastic and fun. Tom Yum Cones were my favourite! Great value for money for food of this quality. Need to make a booking via their facebook page.

Amazing food experience! Thai cuisine served with a modern twist. The chef is a really sweet and nice man who likes to explain the menu and listens to the food preferences. We were so sad to have discovered this amazing restaurant on our last day on Koh Samui but we are definitely coming back next time!

Cafe69 was definitely the most unique restaurant that we went to in Samui. Located just on the main road, you would not expect at a glance that it would serve delicious, beautiful, and creative dishes that look like works of art.

This restaurant came highly recommended by friends and immediately upon entering, I could see why. The staff were extremely profession and friendly, and I could see a large variety of diners (from families to lone diners) who were enjoying their food.

I loved the use of edible flowers for decoration on the dishes. Flavour-wise, each mouthful was packed full of flavour (even when we were very, very careful with the spice levels). I liked that there were various textures in each dish (especially the starters such as the pomelo salad), and that each dish had a different fragrance.

I'd definitely love to visit again. And I'd recommend making a reservation so you don't miss out on this popular eatery.

My favourite restaurant in Thailand! I absolutely loved every single dish. Tuna tartare, pomelo salad with shrimp, black ink spaghetti with salmon..no words, incredible flavours! I would've never guessed that from the outside of the restaurant. I cannot recommend this place enough. The drinks were also great and you can customize the sweetness level. I'll definitely be back. Big congrats to the chef and please open a restaurant in Singapore so that we can enjoy your dishes there! 😊 I'd have this food every day of my life.

You wouldn’t be able to tell by the outside or looking at the menu, but the food is asias top 50 quality. The flavors, texture, innovation and service are all top notch. We’ve come here on back to back nights and are thinking of coming back for more still.

Simply amazing

Was so happy to have been recommending this place.

Was seated then the owner came out to great us, we asked him to recommend our meals which he did and they were fantastically plated and the flavors where Devine.

We had to go back again and where we had different meals and again the best I have had in my travels in Thailand to date.

This restaurant totally threw me off, the decor and the name. Although 69 is my favourite number.

I have been in Thailand for a year, and this is by far from hole in the wall restaurants to fine dining restaurants, the best meal I have had.

I don’t know how the chef does it, but he has mastered all the flavours and textures to create culinary masterpieces.

Will definitely return every time I am in Samui.

The food was. AMAZING. And chef Vivian is super friendly, humble, and genuinely cares that his customers are enjoying the food. We had suchhhh a good experience here both times (once lunch, once dinner) we visited within span of 3 days. My ultimate favs: Papaya salad with soft shell crab roll, the KIDS PAD THAI!! (Sweet sauce version! Can ask them for it, not on menu), adults pad Thai with soft shell crab, tom yum seafood cones, and the mango sticky rice creme brûlée. We also had the squid ink pasta with green curry and the sirloin steak. Both were great as well!! Not enough time to try even more of their amazing dishes. BUT WE WILL BE BACK. Please continue to support them!!! Thank you again Chef Vivian!! 🙏🏻🥹

Good food, innovative design and excellent service, what more could you ask for? The restaurant is the little gem of Koh Samui, the food is excellent and the Thai cuisine is felt behind each and every dish. The service is amazing and everything is done in the service, the raw materials feel high quality and combine into delicious and beautiful dishes. The element of the atmosphere in the place transmits an innovative and young modern design. There is a complete menu for vegetarians and vegetarian dishes. The prices at the place are very affordable in relation to the amount of food we ordered (3 starters + 2 main courses + 3 soft drinks at a cost of 1400 baht). We will definitely return to the place the next time we come to Ko Samui. Highly recommended for anyone looking for good food on the island.

Amazing food! Our lunch has been the most delicious experience. An absolute MUST for any meat lover are the slow cooked Krapao beef cheeks😍 There are plenty of options for vegetarians or vegans as well. Everything was FANTASTIC and hands down the best food we have eaten since arriving in Thailand😍 The owners of the cafe are very sweet and you can feel how passionate they are about their business. Thank you🙏 What a treat!😍

WOW! Just wow! If you’re in Koh Samui and looking for some great food then get this on your list. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the papaya salad and soft crab rolls, chicken spring rolls, the beef cheek and the sea bass. It was all superb! I used google messaging to book and it couldn’t have been easier. Vivian and the team were so lovely and looked after us so well. Get yourself there, you will not regret it!

Last week of our 4 week food safari of Koh Samui. Cafe 69 is epic, easily the best food we have had on Samui, and rivalling the best we have had in all Thailand. We did not expect this, but we're genuinely happily surprised. Definitely Michelin Star worthy I believe. This is well thought-through, clever and sophisticated food.

We had the tom yum cones - 10/10.

We also had the green curry chicken pies - 10/10

We also had the green papaya salad with soft shell crab - 10/10.

Chef Vivian manages to bring together perfect Thai flavours with Japanese or Singaporean style presentation.

If you really like great food, get here. If you don't think I know my Thai food check my other posts.

And, . . . we just had to come back to this very special place. This time we had beef cheeks krab pow (heat level 4/5), Khao Soi with river prawns, and the prawns on toast with mango mayo. All were cooked by Vivian himself. Please believe me, the krab pow and Khao Soi were off the planet. Easy 12/10.

Rich, multiple layers, perfect balance and as you can see, very generous serves. Truly Thai but so sophisticated. The beef cheeks had cooked down so that they fell apart, but not gooey like they sometimes can be. No idea how Vivian cooks it, but it is stunning. We added some fresh mango on the side to provide extra balance as the heat builds up.

The Khao Soi is so rich and refined, amazing how much flavour was packed into it.

We chase authentic and special food all over the planet, and this food today was in the top 5 of any meal we've ever had. Stunning.

And we finished with the sticky rice creme brulee. I mean, why wouldn't you?

Aannnd, back again for our last night in Koh Samui.

Tonight we had the tom yum cones (delicious, again), and lamb shank massaman. It was huge, rich, decadent. Glorious. Two of us could not quite finish it.

Chef Vivian is a genius. If this were Bangkok or Singapore you would wait weeks for a booking, and there would be dozens of people outside waiting to pounce on any "no-show".

We will definitely be back to Samui next year, and Cafe 69 is on top of our places to return to.

A fantastic, tiny restaurant next to Fishermans Village. The food is simply amazing. It's traditional Thai food with a twist. The taste of every dish we had is awesome but the presentation is even better. I'd recommend sharing as many starters as possible and please don't forget the desserts. The Creme brulee Mango Sticky Rice is divine. The restaurant is very busy in the evenings, In the early afternoon it's easier to get a table.

A cozy restaurant with chic design. Renovated recently with full air-conditioning.

Thai fusion and creative food were served. The owner cum chef is extremely friendly and talented.

Appetizers served were finger-licking. Duck dumplings, mango green curry puff and soft-shell crab rolls were a hit.

The mains were all tasty too. The new addition being the steak with fried rice was absolutely out of the world. Super super delicious.

Reasonable prices. Love that it exceeded our expectations at all times.

Highly recommended for frequent visits.

Loved it, great hospitality by Vivian and his team. Great food, fabulous flavours, small venue so you need to book. Don't hesitate, go here.

We enjoyed the Green curry pie, Tom cones and beef and seabass for main course. Beef was spicy! Excellent meal, thanks Vivian.

A fine dining disguised as a cafe! The food here blew me away, and it was clear it was created by someone who loves food. Tuna tartar and somtum roll with soft shell crab were my favorite. Chicken green curry puff was so flaky and scrumptious and truly deserved to be the signature dish. Will definitely come back for more ❤

Based on the name and decor, this restaurant is not at all what I expected. It offers the food (taste and presentation) of a high-class restaurant and the service and price of a local family owned Cafe. My only regret is that I found it on my last day in Samui. My favourite dish was the roti curry entree.
