Monk Cave

The place has been empty for a long time, judging by the HUGE wasps net I've seen inside today (see picture). Go at low tide from the restaurant nearby and pay respect. Do NOT continue after the cave, you will reach stairs that are too old, rusty and broken to be used and leads directly into a habitated private upper class villa under construction. Amazing place to discover respectfully.

Amazing mystical place just 400 meters from Beryll bar. Nice buddha statues in the deep cave just on the sea shore with the great views. We spent there nice moments in total silence. Lots of artifacts around, you would feel like Indiana Jones ))

Danger ⚠ : Do not riding on the mountain is no entry and very dangerous for ride a motorcycle

If you want to come here, You need to stop a Beryl Bar and walk along the beach

A must to do around Samui, cost a little rock walk but you will find a unique piece of histoty

Very nice place to walk, beautiful view and very quiet place.

Fun to visit but don’t expect to much

Eine tolle Sehenswerte Tropfsteinhöhle. Die Guides geben sich viel Mühe alles zu erklären. Unbedingt auch Fischfutter kaufen kurz vor dem Eingang warten unzählige Fische darauf in ein riesiger Spass sie zu Füttern.

Всем привет побывали там с женой 21.06.2019, очень интересное место , монаха там не было . Думаю ,из за постоянно, сующихся туда туристов он покинул ,это место. Большая просьба ,от нас ,относитесь бережно ,к данному месту,не ломайте ничего ,не топчите и не оставляйте мусор и бутылки 🙂.

We went there when the water was high, but reached the cave regardless. (Albeit very wet.) I wouldn't recommend to do this if you're not adventurous and fit. Otherwise wait for the low tide. The cave is interesting to see. There are some Buddhist statues. You'll spend max 15 minutes here.

Monk Cave ist von der Beryl Bar aus zu erreichen.

Ich wollte eigentlich nur etwas in der Beryl Bar trinken, der Besitzer meinte allerdings, ich sollte erst zur Monk Cave gehen. Ich folgte der Empfehlung und suchte vergeblich nach einem Weg oder Pfad, dem ich folgen konnte. Als ich nichts dergleichen gefunden habe, bin ich auf gut Glück in eine Richtung über die Felsen gelaufen, ich empfehle auf jeden Fall festes Schuhwerk.

Die Höhle liegt richtig idyllisch direkt am Meer und ist schon ein Highlight, wenn man nicht mit zu hohen Erwartungen kommt.

Einen Weg zu der auf manchen Bildern gezeigten Treppe habe ich leider nicht gefunden.

Petite ballade sympa sur la plage pour rejoindre cette grotte. Pas de chemin, il faut longer sur les cailloux pendant 10 min à partir du Berry bar.

Très beau lieu de recueillement
