Koh Tao Tec Divers

This is THE place to go to for technical diving instruction on Koh Tao! I took three classes here and Ivan is just the most professional and thorough dive instructor you want to have. They cater for CCR as well and have the full range up to pure O2 and helium. Their boat goes directly from the beach - so no annoying rides to the harbour first!

I completed my Extended Range course in Sidemount with Koh Tao Tec Divers in April 2016 and it was a fantastic experience. All of the staff at KTTD were professional, welcoming and a joy to hang out with after a challenging day of diving. My instructor, Ivan, was extremely knowledgable, professional and patient and conducted the course flawlessly. And the standard of the equipment and focus on diver safety was exceptional. I highly recommend KTTD and hope to be back there soon.

I've been to many Dive Centers around the world and I must really say that Koh Tao Divers and Koh Tao Tec Divers is one of the best.

Diving in Koh Tao is always a great experience, despite the weather now but there is always something to see.

Well, I went to the Dive Center on the last day of my previous visit to enquire about technical diving and the formalities. I was uncertain as technical diving in Koh Tao is part of a nich market and not everyone knows about it. However after speaking to Ivan, I felt confident enough to give it a try.

Ivan was a patient yet resourceful and knowledgeable Tech. Instructor, and he was extremely accommodating to my schedule. He goes out of his way to perform well and puts in a lot of effort to make me understand and make my training as enjoyable as possible.

What followed was an intensive, challenging, and very enjoyable 5 day training undertaking my courses. I am proud to say now that I am a Sidemount, Deep, Independent and Nitrox Diver.

What was also so wonderful was the way the staff in Koh Tao Divers (Jenny) looked after the process of logistics, dive plans and made sure everything runs smoothly. She was always smiling and ready to help.

Everyone at Koh Tao Tec and Koh Tao Divers were amazing. Always happy to answer any questions I had. Ivan was my instructor for XR Nitrox, XR Extended Range, sidemount, and independent and I wouldn't choose anyone else to learn the very important foundations of tec diving with. I have no doubt in my mind that he made me a much better diver than I was before taking classes with him. He went above and beyond when teaching pulling information not only from SSI but from several different sources giving me to most complete education he could offer and sparked an interest to pursue more information on my own time. I highly recommend doing your tec courses with Ivan and looking forward to the next time I can be under his instruction.

I did my tech side mount course with these guys a few years ago and It was a great experience. First rate equipment, patient instructors (Ivan is brilliant) and high safty standards - all things I value highly in this very competative business, where corners are often cut.

On top of this a good atmosphere, great location and comfortable boat, I can only recommend Koh Tao Tec Divers highly.

One of the best places (maybe the best) for technical diving courses in Kohtao, I did there the TDI courses of Sidemount, Advance nitrox, Decompression procedures and Extended range. Great equipment in great condition, really experienced instructors, small groups, personalized teaching, multiple languages, and the best: the boat is just infront of the shop in a quiet beach. Really recomended.

Amazing diving school located in the heart of Ko Tao. Their staff is very professional and they really know about hospitality. This is hard to find in the island as other diving companies are more interested in sales revenue versus giving divers a good experience. Their equipment is always in good conditions. Their safety procedures before during and after every dive made me understand their professionalism

Did my Tec sidemount and Tec deep certifications back in May 2013 with Ivan and it was an amazing memory ! It was great to be introduced to this new kind of diving with such a professional team. Ivan is very flexible, thorough, patient and very knowledgeable. I've learned a great deal from him and the dives were just breathtaking. Whether we were wreck diving in the trident with almost no visibility, diving on the Torpedo wreck with 30m+ viz or just going deep at the Chumpon pinnacle, I've always felt in good hands and had a lot of fun through out the course !
I hope to be back there one day !

I have taught and been taught by numerous instructors over the years I have been diving but I have never experienced such a high level of instruction as that found at KTTD. Personal, Professional, and Patient are descriptive words that come to mind. Not only are the instructors first class they are also excellent divers. They put their teaching into practice. Example of this are raising a sunken vessel and a search and rescue for missing divers at depth.

I did my sidemount and XR nitrox with Koh Tao Tec Divers and it was really awesome experience. Highly knowledgeable staff with a lot of experience in technical diving. Only regret was that I didn't have enough time to do the full Extended Range course.

One of the best dive shops I have dived with! Great vibe, great attention to safety, not so crowded boats, and the customer service is exceptional. They were very welcoming and made me feel like family. Highly recommended.

Great courses with Ivan who is a super knowledgeable instructor. This is one if the few schools running dedicated tec trips from Koh Tao.

As an educator I could not be more satisfied with the instruction provided by Ivan. He always erred on the side of over-explaining rather than under explaining. Crucially he was constantly quizzing us not just on how and what to do but WHY to do. Always welcomed questions and emphasized the most salient information.

I did my TDI Sidemount with Ivan "the great" and it was easily one of The best experiences in my scuba diving career.Superb know how but still easy laid back feeling what hooked me totally!After bad accident going back next year.I personally highly recommend Koh Tao Technical Divers!!!You wont regret if choose this dive centre!!!Cheers!
