my absolute favorite place on Koh Kood. if you love things simple and natural, this is the right resort. You cannot reserve. just walk in and ask. If necessary, you can spend a night in the house until a bungalow becomes available.

I stayed next to this place . Very peaceful and calm. Did snorkling in this area. Beautiful beach.

Review for bar only. Chill and relax vibe , only decent priced place on bang Bao beach. Beers, hash cakes. Budget 1* accommodation with different styles (some simple wooden huts w shared bathrooms), handful with en-suite.

We had a great stay at Sand and Sea. I was first very skeptical about our little hut by the sea. But after settling in it was an amazing stay. The food was good (if not to your taste there are plenty of other restaurants around), the staff was great and friendly (they do have their moments but don't forget that they are working 7 days a week from early morning until late evening). It is a retreat little place and the access is not easy; but SO worth the effort. The wobbly bridge, the difficult access by road... Are all part of Sand and Sea's charm. It is cheap and you pay for what you get. And I woud trade any luxury hotels on the Island for this little piece of paradise. Snorkeling by the pier, or swiming with the fishes or even relaxing on the small balcony by the hut. It is all a great experience. There is no hot water or toilet paper or any luxury there, but HEY!! The peace, calm and beauty around are luxurious enough. As online bookings are unavailable go and say hello, have a look around, have a look at the accomodations, the pier and the sea... Don't let yourself being put off by the simplicity around you, because sometimes this is all you need.

we stayed at sand and sea for nearly two weeks and really liked this place. the bungalows are basic (there could be a gecko in your room but that just adds to the experience) but very cozy. only one bungalow has warm water but since the weather is hot all the time anyways, a cold shower is all you need in the evenings :)
in contrast to other reviewers we found the staff to be very friendly and we promptly got toilet paper, new towels and a cleanup of the bathroom upon request.
i don’t know what kind of expectations other reviewers had on bungalows for that prize and directly by the sea (you need to carry your bags yourself? you have a bug or gecko in your wooden bungalow? you need to go over a bridge to get there because no taxi can drive there?).
in my opinion this remote little place is a perfect place to stay for nature lovers!

we decided to drop by this place as our friends stayed here for two weeks after their months of traveling, and they highly recommended this place to us. it is at the very end of the Bang Bao beach, surrounded by the forest. it is walk-in booking (or you can contact the people over facebook if you want to reserve a place), but the owners really want you to come and see the rooms before you book / cancel. you can stay in rooms or in double-bungalow (with hot shower), single bungalows (with cold shower) or bungalows directly by the water (shared bathroom). we actually stayed in all these places and liked them all, and stayed here for 2 weeks. this is a quiet place where you get to enjoy the nature without all the beach people passing by your bungalows (as this is the case for everywhere else on that beach). foodwise, vegetarian red curry is great, breakfast just as good. and the owner IS very friendly, and so are the few helpers she got around to clean / fix the place. i highly recommend this place unless you prefer white table cloths and room service with people to carry your bags.
ps. well of course you got to carry your own bags, who else? this is not a 5-star hotel, this is the cheapest place you will find on that beach, next to all the “resorts”, including the same bottle of water and beer being the cheapest compared to everywhere else. and of course there are geckos and bugs, as they are everywhere, because this is a beach, next to the forest, surrounded by trees and leaves and all that nature stuff. this definitely does not mean the place is dirty.

This is still a hidden gem on Koh Kood. Nice Huts directly at the amazing beach. Just the way is a little bit complicated - at our time there, they rebuild the street through the jungle - maybe it will be better soon. Otherwise you can walk at the beach and use the "bridge" :-) very simple but cool location

Best place on Koh Kut to relax! With basic bungalows and no luxury. Good food and cheap beer!

Posizione perfetta, con splendida vista sulla baia. Acqua cristallina. Bungalow semplici, ma il panorama e la tranquillità ti fanno dimenticare tutto.
Ambiente super friendly.
Se avessi avuto più tempo sarei rimasto ben volentieri!!
Prezzi bassi rispetto alla media dell’isola.
Raggiungibile o con motorino dalla strada sterrata oppure dalla spiaggia attraversando il famoso ponte levatoio in legno.
Sicuramente ci tornerò!!

Das ist ein Traumort! Ich würde das nicht verraten, wenn ich es noch mir als Geheimtipp reserviert lassen wollte, aber es wird mit einer Wiederholung wahrscheinlich leider nichts werden. Der schönste Platz mit dem traumhafteste, klarsten Wasser und bezaubernden Hütten, den wir in 2 Monaten Thailand & Indochina hatten. Und die Besitzerin Goi (?) ist resolut, aber durchaus patent. Das Publikum ist ebenfalls schön gemischt und angenehm. Die Hütten sind einfach, aber aufgrund der Lage ihren Preis immer wert. Die Auswahl an Essen ist nicht groß, aber es ist schmackhaft und preiswert. P.S.: Allen, die hier maulen müssen, sei gedankt, dass sie mit ihren Rezensionen eine Überfüllung dieses herrlichen Platzes verhindern helfen.

Verborgen parel verblijf van Koh Kood eiland. Prachtige bungalows aan het water. Het is wel back to basic maar zeker waard gezien de locatie. Je kan hier niet reserveren via de bekende boekingswebsites. Gelukkig voor ons omdat wij niks van te voren boeken. En Martin is ook heel behulpzaam. Love it! 🫶🏾
