Baan Rabieng Talay Homestay

Excellent stay! Very comfortable rooms and en-suite toilet was very clean. Room was spacious with sufficient plugs and good AC. Wished the room came with better ventilation though would’ve been nice to have some fresh air in.

Free flow coffee, tea and water at the main area, breakfast served every morning with a fresh fruit platter. Owners were very accommodating and you could request for other food to be served.

Scooters can be rented at 250฿ per day for you to explore the island and to return back to a quiet area for rest.

Went during off-peak period so the restaurants in the vicinity were all closed except for the one at the resort so do bring your snacks/drinks here if you’re travelled off season.

Overall a very nice homestay with very friendly owners.

Firstly I’d like to acknowledge the fact, that room is located in a lovely little village close to the seaside with a pretty decent and affordable restaurant next door and a beautiful beach with an extraordinary sunset. If you get bored tho you are welcome to rent a scooter (250THB) and explore the island which is stuffed with stunning beaches.
The room itself was just enough for any couple, including properly working AC. The only negative thing I can think of is the fact that the room wasn’t cleaned at all so in the end of our stay we had sand from our feet all over the room.
The host family was great! Helpful, kind and willing to help us in any inquiry we had.
Would recommend to anyone!

We booked for 2 nights. We arrived and saw the place and loved it and saw how clean the rooms are and how nice the staff were here. We decided to stay 4 more nights as soon as we arrived. Then we sat down and had a beer then we decided to stay 4 days more so 10 days total. We love it here.

Perfect hosts... always smiling and there to help. Very caring and giving hosts..... nothing was ever too much. Clean colourful spacious rooms. Delicious breakfast with loads of fresh fruit and real butter (don’t get that in some of the posh hotels on the island). Fantastic to watch the fishing village come alive as you eat your breakfast & go to sleep as you drink hot chocolate or beer in the evening. Free hot drinks all day, able to use the communal fridge and relax in the dining area, over looking the village and ocean at any time of day or night. I was there end of October, perfect sunny weather, yet able to find waterfalls and beaches all to myself. Jungle, white sands, gin clear waters, 1 min walk from the beach ..... it was totally drunk on nature!
Topped off by sleeping in an authentic Thai homestay ...... why do people go to hotels? You will find so much more here. Thanks again for a perfect stay .... 🙏

At 1st you'll think this place is a little far from ideal, but stay a little while and you'll get captivated with the warmth and friendliness of locals all around you. It's just lovely sitting there over a nice breakfast to watch slow island life moving around you. The closest resort up the road is good for more food and drinks, so don't despair.
We moved away after a week to a different location and wish we stayed! Oh and the beach just around the corner is gorgeous... with plankton!

Beautiful home stay, well maintained and very friendly staff. Highly recommended and very close to the beach.

Very good hotel, clean and tidy. Highly recommend. The breakfast is perfect.

Baan Rabieng Talay a répondu à toutes nos attentes :

- l'emplacement est idéal, on peut louer des scooters en bon état pour visiter l'île,

- la chambre est agréable, moderne, propre. Les serviettes de bain et de plage sont changées à la demande, le ménage est fait à fond, les draps changés, tous les trois jours.

- le petit déjeuner, compris dans le prix de la chambre, est mieux que varié: vous demandez exactement ce que vous voulez la veille et on vous le sert le lendemain ! Mention spéciale pour la kao tom (soupe de riz) au poulet et (plein de) gingembre.

- l'accueil de la famille est chaleureux, khun Sao parle assez d'anglais pour être comprise sans problème. Elle nous a donné de bons conseils chaque fois que nous l'avons sollicitée.

Seul, petit, point négatif : notre chambre donnait directement sur la terrasse/salle à manger et un étroit passage collé à la maison voisine. Difficile d'ouvrir la porte fenêtre et d'aérer, impossible de faire sécher serviettes ou maillots. Les chambres à l'étage n'ont peut être pas cet inconvénient ...

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour d'une semaine et, vu le rapport qualité/prix,  nous n'aurions pas choisi un autre hôtel sur l'île.

Een van onze favoriete plekjes in Thailand. Ontzettend gezellig plekje in een klein haventje. Schone kamers, lekker ontbijt. Het wordt gerund door een hele lieve familie, ze zijn erg behulpzaam en vriendelijk. We waren hier helaas maar 2 dagen maar komen hier zeker terug. Echt een aanrader!

Nos han tratado de maravilla, siempre atentos, habitación súper limpia y completa, el desayuno genial, cada día nos lo cambiaban a nuestro gusto, café y agua y plátanos todo el día, le doy 5 estrellas y me llevó un gran recuerdo.

Ein Traum.Ich habe mich wie zuhause gefühlt und werde wiederkommen.Ideal,um zu überwintern.Da ist die Welt noch in Ordnung.

Тихо, чисто, живописно, находится в милой рыбацкой деревеньке, рядом отличныйпляж. Очень радушный персонал и вкусный завтрак.

Pěkný guesthouse v romantické rybářské vesničce. Příjemní majitelé, čistota. Snídaně, voda, plážové osušky v ceně. Trochu chabá zvuková izolace, ale to je v Thajsku normální.
