We have been here for 3 days and that is enough to say that this place is perfect.
The owner is taking care of everything, the garden is beautiful, rooms are clean, staff is friendly.

About the food… It was the best Thai food we ever tried.
Papaya salad was perfect, Pad Thai was seasoned very well, prices are really nice!

If our are not going to stay here, you definitely need to check their food.

Best fish I've ever had in my life.
Everything is perfect there, the host, the food, the atmosphere, the gardenw decorations etc ..
Khop khun krap again for everything to all the people working there for what you guys are doing.

A True Gem!

From the moment I arrived at Wooden Huts in Koh Kood, I understood why it has such good reviews. The heart and soul of this place are its owners, Thalay and La, along with their incredible staff. They are not just hosts; they make you feel like part of a family with their exceptional hospitality.

The huts, crafted with an array of reclaimed materials, offer a unique and eco-friendly charm. My hut was equipped with all the essentials – air conditioning, a basic yet functional bathroom, a fridge, and a remarkably comfortable bed. But the real highlight was the veranda with a hammock, overlooking the lush garden – a perfect spot for relaxation.

Dining here is an experience in itself. La's skill in the kitchen, using freshly picked produce from their garden, ensures every meal is a delight. The tom yum and green curry are must-tries, bursting with flavor and authenticity. The morning shakes, loaded with fresh fruit, were a refreshing start to my day.Thalay's kindness extended to personally driving me to various beaches throughout my week's stay, adding a personal touch that you rarely find elsewhere.

Staying at the Wooden Huts is more than just accommodation; it's an experience that stays with you. It’s a place where you arrive as a guest and leave as family. I’m eagerly anticipating my next visit to this little paradise.

Very nice place to stay on Koh Kood! The rooms are great and the food is some of the best on the island! The owner is such a wonderful host and went above and beyond to help us during our stay. We tried to extend a night because we liked it so much. Unfortunately, he was booked out but graciously brought us to the next accommodation with our luggage.

If you wanna stay in a place that you will later call home: you’ve found it! The owner will make sure you have the most relaxing time :) the food is incredible and even if you’re not staying there, go there for the food!!

We only tried the restaurant and the experience was so good! Real good Thai kitchen in a cosy place not similar to what you are used to, colourful and flourishing vegetation! A great moment spent there.

Wonderful stay at the huts with fans just at the edge of the jungle. The host was extremely helpful in all regards and really made us feel welcome. Highly recommended!

Amazing! Lovely place to stay, friendliest staff and owner, amazing food. The seafood is delicious, but if you want a veggie meal for a change, the owner is happy to buy some tofu at the local store and prepare you a veg meal. Also very delicious!

Wooden Hut has been a home for me on Koh Kood. The bungalow itself is simple but comfortable. But honestly the experience of sleeping in this little eden is unique. The whole place and especially the garden are absolutely out of this world. You can feel the love Pilay and his team put into the gardening. I also love the recycling projects that have been turned into little works of art.

Thalay is an excellent host. His soul is pure and he always put a smile on my face. I really appreciate that he took the initiative to invite me to spend time with his friends. I will never forget our fishing adventure. Thank you.

I already miss this place and its people. We will see each other again soon.

If you want to feel at home this is your place, the receptionist is an incredible person, he gave us a lot of confidence and offered us all the services and excursions he could and at the best price, they give you free water, coffee in the morning and they have service food from 8am-8:30pm, also rental of motorcycles and beach towels etc... An incredible place, I recommend it 😌

Best value food place on the island. Their yellow curry is unreal. Best value vegan or vegetarian restaurant on Koh Kood. We tried many places in our stay. But we kept coming back here. The staff are also the best. So friendly! Single dishes are 80 baht. And their curries 160baht. The portion sizes are huge. So worth it. Also for house plant lovers you’ll love this place. So many cool plants and variegated plants around the restaurant. *For vegans* there’s no vegan menu, but the owner/main cook knows almost fluent English. He knows what vegan means and can make most dishes vegan. Highly recommend.

Such a warm welcome and perfect service. The food here is great too. Rooms are really comfortable with air conditioning and a relaxing balcony. We only had 2 nights here and wish we could have stayed longer! You can also rent motor bikes and there is a choice of shops, restaurants and beaches within a short drive.

Fantastic staff, super chill vibe, clean, lovely decorations. The plantlife and quality of food are the best.

For vegan and vegetarian options this place is the best value. Large portions with tofu available. Vegan options aren’t advertised on the menu however the owner knows what vegan means.
The yellow curry was a real hit. Well worth the extra $. Pad Thai tofu and fried rice tofu were our other favourites 80baht each.😊

Great atmosphere, cute place, good music and the Swedish owner is very friendly.

The food is good and the prices too. You can eat Thai or Western.

Best place in Koh Kut, possibly our best stay in Thailand this trip. The rooms are clean and comfortable with a nice balcony to relax with some beers and at night all we heard were crickets. The host and staff made us feel incredibly welcome and helped us with everything. We also ended up eating almost all our meals at their restaurant because the food was just delicious and the vibe, ambiance is just so nice and relaxing. They also rent motorbikes there and it is easy to get around the island from their location. We left wanting to stay longer. Recommend this place and will be sure to stay here again if we ever go back to Koh Kood.

Good restaurant with a great chef. The pad thai was very tasty. Might have been the best I had on the island (and I had many..!). I did not stay in the rooms so I can't comment on those.

The perfect place to relax on Koh Kood! Not the most modern bungalows, but they are very spacious with a nice balcony and hammock. The owner is super friendly and helpful and the food was great! Definitely try the fried fish (available on request), it was one of the best meals we had in Thailand. Close to some of the best beaches on the island and everything is easy to reach by scooter (which can be rented here too). We'd definitely come back!

I ate here the best PadThai and one of the best Green Curry, honestly. I am not a ‚PadThai’ person, but this was made in specyfic way: there was a fried egg on top. Place is nice decorated, so it is a good option for dinner :)

Best Pad Thai on the island and maybe even in Thailand!!!
We had pork in gravy sauce with noodle and Pad Thai for lunch. They serve big portions. The mango and banana juice are super delicious. It was amazing! The place has a nice atmosphere with chill music. Friendly staff and very friendly owner. Toilet are clean.
