I love the Green View Resort. ❤ It is quiet, relaxing and the wooden bungalows are simple, from your bed you can hear birds and the ocean and they have a big terrace and hammock. 🤩 The owner family is super nice, friendly and very helpful and welcoming. 🥰

We stayed here almost 2 weeks and We loved our stay so much! First of all the staff is super nice and helpful, you can feel nice family vibe all around, you won’t feel like a tourist. Place is super peaceful and quiet. Beach is maybe not the best for swimming but it’s beautiful and relaxing view that you can admire from your hammock and for swimming you can easily go to any other beach you want on the Island in few minutes by scooter.
We tried food in many places on Koh Mak and restaurant at Green View is our favourite. They have excellent Green Curry, Tom Yum, Tom Ka Kai, very good Mango Sticky Rice. Everything we tried here was actually tasty and well done.
Your own Geckos in bathroom is kind of what you just get together with the room but you can get used to it. They won’t bite or attack you, they usually freeze and hide when they notice you. They’re actually kind of cute, we will miss our Gekos 😂 If you take room with AC probably you won’t have them so we reccomend to take one with fan! It’s totally enough. There is a lot of shadow on the property and was never to hot for us.
Sandflys though are a bit annoying. You won’t see them but they bite so it’s better to keep your bungalow doors closed. But they’re everywhere anyway.
The biggest disadvantage I would say is the bed. The mattress was a bit crumpled and not entirely comfortable to sleep.
In general, we wouldn’t like to stay in any other place. We love Green View! 🙂 It’s cheap, simple, has a nice vibe. Perfect place to really chillout but probably not for someone who is looking for luxury and sterility.

I loved it! Very basic bungalow and a but far from most of what's going on on the island but that is what I loved about it. Double bed, private bathroom, WiFi, big porch with a hammock just meters from the sea. The whole island is wonderful, and there are better beaches and views, but to wake up to the sound of waves daily, read in the hammock and be greeted/helped by wonderful staff before venturing off made this place absolutely perfect.

Awesome place completely far away from everything. It's perfect if u want to relax and be in front of the sea. The family running the place is so kind and helpful, they rent motorbike so you can travel around the island. Really recommend it

What a lovely place! So quiet and serene. Em and family are really lovely and super accommodating with everything. We stayed 5 nights which I think is also a good amount of time on the island. Accommodation with fan was just fine. Bathrooms could do with a clean or re-paint though. It's a very chilled out place. For the price you cannot complain. Use it as your base and hire bikes and tour the island. Food is good but there are great local spots to eat nearby too at better pricing.
Only downside to this place is there is no beach. You can't just walk in and swim. You have to walk far out to get to even waist deep water. You can use the kayaks free of charge though to see a few spots nearby.
Watch out for nearby stray dogs who have a fetish for slops! Don't leave your shoes where they can reach them. Thank you and we will return.

We stayed for about 2 weeks at Koh Mak Green View Resort and for the first time ever on Koh Mak and we would travel there again without hesitation!
The resort is located north of the island, surrounded by rubber plantations, mangroves and palm trees and therefore a little far away from the action. Those of you who like us enjoy exploring the island by scooter and are looking for peace and nature will feel absolutely at home here.
The complex is extensive and I estimate there are 15 to 20 bungalows (but don't know exactly), which are generously scattered over the area. The bungalows are simple, partly with or without air conditioning (alternatively with fan) and have single bathrooms. Each bungalow also has a small porch with hammock(s) and/or wooden benches. The bungalows are cleaned every second to third day and you get fresh bed linen and two bottles of water.
In addition, there is a restaurant where the owner family still cooks themselves. The menu is extensive but doesn't overwhelm you, and we ate our way through during the 2 weeks stay. The food is fantastic and the prices are relatively affordable compared to many other restaurants of the island. In addition, there are two super tasty and inexpensive food stalls in the vicinity, which can be easily reached by scooter or bicycle.
The owner family is absolutely adorable and we felt so comfortable! No matter if you need needle and thread to sew on a ripped off button or if it's about the speedboat tickets - the family is always there to help you.

The bathing jetty is a bit outdated and could use an overhaul.

Nice, quiet place. Been here two times already. Family is very friendly and helpful. Food is not the best on the island but fresh and tasty. Bungalows are ok for the price, fair value for money. Yes, you will See Geckos and Ants inside your room and bathroom, bat that is normal for this category. Some dogs there that love to play. Children might get scared if they are not used to dogs. But nothing to worry. You will see the sunrise here, not the sunset. But there are other places for that. Would go here again! Enjoy!

Nice family running the resort. Young one speaks good English and very resourceful. Helped me with my return ticket booking. Honest people. Facilities are not luxury , you get your own space. Not all huts are directly on the beach. Food is ok. Sea is the calmest on the island, even in Jan end

you're all so gullible

I cannot stress enough how peaceful and tranquil this resort is. You'll wake up to the sounds of nature every morning. The staff are very helpful and polite, the young lady with the glasses speaks very very good English. Food in the restaurant is of a good quality and not too badly priced and the service was good too. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again 😁😁😁

Simple, very quiet, inexpensive, very friendly - just perfect. This small resort is run by a family. You can get food of all kinds between 9 and 21.00. You can rent inexpensive motorcycles. The huts are made of wood and not the newest type. There is a fan (500 baht) or an aircon (1000 baht) type. We had the fan type in January and were more than happy. It is very quite there, if you want to see other restaurants or places you will need a motorcycle. You can also take one of the two free kayaks. The ocean floor at this resort is very shallow which means the low tide makes it difficult for any swimming activity. We had some ants in our bathroom and a sweet little gecko in our hut. The first rows of huts seem to far away from the forest so I dont think scorpions or worse will make it to the huts. But you can see black scorpions at night on the forest roads. We have also seen an enormous spider, but NOT at this resort. After all, all these creeps are not really dangerous.
If you just want to have an original place without so many tourists, just relax and a base for exploring the rest of the island, this is just perfect, expecially if you want to save your money.

A nice and quiet retreat. Clean and basic bungalows with the nature around you. They will rent you a bike as well for a good price. Lady has very basic english skills but she is very friendly and loves a good laugh!

I love this place. I like the shallow water, you can walk or swim to the next beach which is empty. It is clear water and very beautiful. I love that it is quiet and the family is wonderfully friendly and helpful. It may be further away and i walked alot, but it was relaxing. No scpoter or bike for me this time. Only thing that bothered me were the ants, but better than sand flies and not much you can do except keep food and sweet things in you bungalow to keep them away. My bungalow was at the end, so one reason I saw more ants than others and the wifi wasn't always available for me in the bungalow. But that was ok. Next year I will stay longer.
