Lazy Day The Resort, Koh Mak

Hidden gem at the end of the main beach of Koh Mak, a pure corner of paradise that captivated me so much that I booked a walk-in, practically begging to have a room. I can't describe exactly the beauty of this place but everything is so sweet, calm and safe. The staff is kind and welcoming, the rooms are all on the beach (and almost all seafront), immersed in a garden full of flowers and life, with a terrace and sun loungers, comfortable bed, private bathroom, fridge and kettle.

The snorkeling and swimming spot is the best on Koh Mak and honestly I don't understand the obsession everyone has with the beach on the opposite side of the island: this is infinitely better and you can see the last surviving corals, even if invaded by algae. I had the opportunity to observe an octopus close up as well as a myriad of fish.

Free canoes, spectacular massages.

Dinner was a bit worse, ridiculously high priced.
But if you walk along the beach you can find some nice little places to drink and eat. Location a bit isolated but better that way, you can relax 100%. Really a beautiful place and I think the best I stayed at in Koh Mak. Will come back asap.

Stayed with Lazy Day for 6days5nights for my birthday trip. The location is amazing. Nothing beats an entry with tall coconut trees along side the road.

The view is captivating with a beautiful spot for sunset.

The rooms are so homely and cozy. Loved the design.

The staff are one of the nicest people I’ve met; always having smiles on their faces and very helpful.

The food is mad delicious, EVERY SINGLE DISH omg.
On my birthday, they brought me a plate of birthday pancakes without me asking or mentioning anything.
How kind and thoughtful!

Hands down to this place; definitely holds a very special place in my heart.

Brilliant Location and amazing place for couples. The staff are absolutely amazing. Got engaged here and the staff went above and beyond to make it a special moment for me and my partner.

Friendly staff! Calm and quiet place. Beautiful garden looking out over a beautiful beach. Very clean houses with a lot of space. The patios are big with the best lounge chairs to be really lazy, drink a beer, and enjoy the beautiful views of Koh Mak.

It was an incredible experience to have been in Lazy Days Resort at Koh Mak. The small bungalows were perfectly arranged so that every guest had their peace and privacy. The restaurant was really nicely located with a great view of the complex and the sea. The food was really delicious! The team was there for us at all times, always totally helpful and super friendly. Absolute highlight for us was the incredibly great and clean beach, which was really right in front of our bungalow. That was indescribable! Really perfect! We really enjoyed the time!

Very nice place. Stayed 5 nights. Lovely rooms with balcony, very nice beach area. Good breakfast. Overall a nice stay would come again. Staff battle with English but try hard. Would definitely come back.

Beautiful, wide in nature resort. The staff was super friendly and helpful and took an extra care of us. The food was yummy, breakfast with several options and for dinner you should definitely try the steam fish with lime. The beach was beautiful but be aware of the sand flies!! When we were there, there were a LOT!! Be sure to protect yourself. If you stay on the sand, you will get stung and it itches like hell. Most of the time we enjoy the chill atmosphere on the balcony with the beautiful view of the ocean. You can rent a bike or a motorcycle from the resort too, definitely recommended if you want to explore this beautiful island with great food and nice people :)

We stayed at a beautiful cabin on the waterfront. It has a rustic Mediterranean charm, air conditioned and complimentary breakfast. The beach onsite was pristine with clear turquoise waters.

This hotel is very cost-effective, the pick-up and drop-off staff and the restaurant staff are very good, the breakfast is generous, but the beach is not very suitable for swimming, but if you like quiet and private space, this hotel is very suitable.

Staff is so friendlyyy kind to support and handle for all arrangements. Nice beach..sand with some rock but safety for swim & kayak. Really love to relax there!!

We stayed at Lazy Day Resort for 3 nights and we absolutely loved it.
Spending a couple of days on a bungalow by the beach was just incredible and the beach where the resort is located is one of the best on the island.
The resort has great facilities such as an outdoor spa facing the ocean, a beautiful restaurant where they serve delicious food and the staff was super friendly.
The breakfast has lots of options and we really enjoyed it to start our day in the best way possible.

We just left Lazy Day yesterday and I'd love to return. It is a wonderful, quiet retreat. The cottages are simple, clean and have all the amenities. Wifi was always good. Every bungalow faces the beach and the sunsets are spectacular. The restaurant is always open during the day and all the meals are good. We didn't even bother to venture out for meals. The massages on the beach were heavenly. The gracious couple who manage the hotel make you feel like personal guests.

Just the most wonderful resort on Koh Mak. The family who own this lovely place are super warm and friendly, the food is tasty (try the shakes!) and the rooms are clean and comfortable with everything you need. We had a beach front room and it was wonderful. It’s on the quiet end of the beach so it feels like you have it all to yourself.

As the name tells - relaxed. Very quiet, small resort. Bungalows are well done and the whole resort is located in a nice green area. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Food is good as well and you need to taste their Banana smoothies!

As on Koh Mak, every activity (diving, snorkeling, even if you go out in a restaurant) picks you up by car it's fine that it is located a bit off the main part.

You always can rent a motorbike and explore the island or go out for dinner or on a different beach.

A small peaceful resort to calm down and relax.

I recommend this lovely small resort. We extended our stay from three to six nights, because we didn't want to leave. The staff are super friendly, the food was always very tasty and the relaxing and quite atmosphere while watching the sea on your villas terrace is just unbeatable. If we ever come back to Koh Mak in our life, we will definitely stay here again.

Great place ,nice bungalows with Seaview a few steps from the ocean. The staff was very kind ,great breakfast and dinner. Free use of Kayak wich is realy nice in the crystal clear ocean🥰

I took time finding a place for 2 nights 3 days vacation with my girlfriend in Koh Mak. Then, I finally found Lazy Day The Resort Koh Mak.

I stayed in room number 5 which was listed in the resort guide as their best for Seaview and Yes, the seaview was absolutely perfect for me.

The receptionist was so polite, cleary explained and provided super great services :)
Their staff were so helpful and friendly, they knew the best how to serve customers.

The room was so clean and comfortable in everyway with natural seaview.

The resort is located along the beach with views of 2 small islands named Ko Rayang Nok and Ko Rayang Nai.
The beach was so clean and had very clear water.
It is a fantastic place to relax and chill.
I could see little fish, crabs and clams on the beach showing an untouchable environment.
All plastic materials are not allowed in Koh Mak.
The resort uses eco straw for every drink.
They also have own organic farm beside the resort and plenty of coconut trees.

Kayak is one of best activities of the resort.
I had one-day trip with my girlfriend from Lazy Day Resort Koh Mak to Ko Rayang Nok and Ko Rayang Nai by the resort's kayaks.
It was extremely enjoyable and impressively beautiful trip on that day.

The resort also has relaxing activities such as spa and massage which made my girlfriend felt so restful.

They provide both delicious Thai and international dishes. Super fresh seafoods were also provided in fairy prices.

The scenery of the beach, wave sounds, wind which blew the coconut leaves already made my heart melt in Koh Mak.

It sounds everything is perfect here, I should have had more time to stay in Lazy Day The Resort.
2 nights 3 days would never be enough for this wonderful place.

If I have to miss something in Koh Mak, Lazy Day The Resort Koh Mak must be first one to be missed.

Stay here 1 week for workation. Private beach with stunning sunset view. Lovely bulgalow and friendly staff. Food and drink are ok. They provide kayak and snorkling free for guest during your stay. However, please be careful with sandflies around beach

One of the best beaches on koh mak. The resort is pretty relaxed, though we didn't stay there. The food was good and we ended up coming back for a second day.

Definitely recommended - they also have cheap beer and food available if you want it.

Lovely resort with welcoming staff. Place is so serene. But Kohmak has the problem of sand flies. Which gives unbearable itching sensation which last upto 4-5 days. So it is advisable to cover your skin before going to beach.
