Koh Mak Art House

Great island bar taken over by Czech chef Alech. Great friendly service. Good conversation. Small community crowd. Good local vibes. Quirky and creative space. We had beers but Alech also makes cocktails. There is a signature cocktail using a Thai rum with lime and soda.

The atmosphere in this bar is perfect. Alech is one of the kindest person on the island and will always make you feel welcome. There's a sense of a small community crowd and the music is great in this quirky and creative space.

Very cool place to have a cocktail here. The owner is as well very friendly and make awesome cocktails!

Very good cocktails, lovely place to relax, friendly hosts. Peaceful place to come to get a drink and look at art that is handpainted by the owner of the bar. Also friendly dogs and cats here.

Great lowkey bar vibes in a nice setting. Cheaper beer than most places. The owner, Ales, is a lovely guy, total legend. Highly recommend!

A nice change from the beach scene or the walking street this hidden gem is nestled in the woodland , set back from the road , half way up the hill . You could easily miss the Art House . In the evenings with only the single orange dome light indicating the entrance to this easy going, friendly and chilled bar which is owned by Jae and Maaike and their lovely young family

An intimate space , designed and built by the couple, that oozes charm which I haven’t seen elsewhere on the island. The design is open so the evening breezes reach you which ever direction the wind is coming from.

Although they do not do food , there are a couple of restaurants nearby and I have seen people bring their food over and eat whilst they enjoy the lovely drinks that the Art House has to offer.

During the late afternoon , when the bar opens, families come with their kids to this child friendly bar but as the evening gives way to the nighttime and the kids have gone to bed the mood shifts slightly. Great music and company are to be had whether you are on you own or in a group.

In short a lovely place to be.

Definitly a vist worth. Cocktails are super fresh...try the Mango Colada! The enviroment is really romantic and has a lot to see...You will be surrounded by the owners art. The owner and its wife are pleased to serve you and also wide open for families. They are well educated and speak perfectly english. Try...every penny worth!

Wonderful relaxed place of great atmosphere, welcome and very cosy. Brilliant artist and his lovely wife are wonderful hosts. Best bar for drinks in the evening.

I live next to Koh Mak Art House and its the best place in my opinion. I cime gere every day! Hosts are extremely friendly and food is always fresh and super tasty! I was in Bangkok before and this is the best food I had in Thailand so far .

If I could put 6 stars i will do it. Jay is a really nice person, really welcoming and he makes amazing cocktails. This is definetly the place to be in Koh Mak. Thank you for everything !

Cool bar with art studio tucked in the corner & bonus of a few friendly cars & a dog lazing around the place. Nice place to chill and have a beer! 👍
