Baan Somtum Bang Rak

I was obsessed with everything we ordered here - perfect flavor and spice and great varieties of foods and drinks that you don’t always find at street stands. The price is more than a standard street food, but less than a nice restaurant in a lot of the malls. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Very good food. Good service and atmosphere. Good value for money. They also have wine available in glasses, which is a plus!

I'll always have Baan Somtum when I'm in Bangkok. Clean, good quality and reasonably priced food. My personal favourite is the pork collar with a well balanced texture - not too lean or fat, just right. 😊

Omg, this place is amazing. Everything tasted so delish and it was up to high quality. All the flavours and textures were very balanced. The staffs were very kind and friendly even though we spoke in english. The place was also very clean! I would love to be back again!! Just try every dish you can while you are here! Even the deep fried dishes weren’t greasy at all.

Is quiet and cosy outside of Main Street, so is very nice atmosphere for my Sunday lunch. Food is typical traditional authentic Thai cuisine and was great.

Still never fail to impress with the food. The taste the quality, the cleanliness and the politeness of the staffs. My favourite is Somtum LuangPrabang. Very tasty. And yes. Longan ice blended. Gotta order everytime.

Very good Somtum restaurant, same taste with the one in Sathorn road. Good vibes. Very friendly staff. Car park is like 2 mins walk to here.

Recommend menu :
Corn somtum, there’s salt egg inside which is so so gooooood!
Somtum Luangprabang, the thin papaya cut in somtum with anchovy sauce.
Zap Chicken fried, i don’t know why they called zap, It’s not spicy at all, but taste great!
Ma-kwaen grilled chicken, It’s good grilled chicken with somewhat place recipe, it tasted good, come with 2 dipping sauces.

This place has so many salad choices. My personal favourite is the papaya salad with coconut! The grilled pork shoulder and wagyu beef were delicious as well. Fried chicken and fish cake were equally good! Overall everything were very flavourful, ambience is quite cozy, and restaurant located at a nice quaint conner. Will definitely come back when I visit Bangkok again

Surprisingly good with locals eating. It was not hard finding the place thanks to google maps. Coconut ice cream for dessert was amazing!

High quality food and nice service. They also have a huge selection of dishes and when they say spicy, it really is! Price can be a little steep.

Nice food especially Somtam and chicken wings. The place is busy during lunch time on weekdays and less crowded on weekends. The service was ok. Free Parking.

Great prices! The food was amazing and the menu has beautiful pictures of all the food. It was very helpful in a new land. I saw a-lot of Thai people eating there as well, so it must not be too Farang. (Western Foreigner)

This place is underrated. Food taste has good balance and gentle to those who cannot take too strong taste. Good ingredient, hygiene standard, service and atmosphere!

First time in this branch and as always, the best authentic Thai in town that I’m aware of. As usual, fresh, well balanced food and fair prices
