Delicious International and Romanien dishes. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

Looks like they improved a lot since those reviews. We ordered some typical Romanian dishes like mititei or papanasi as well as some not typical (salmon) and everything was great. Service was particularly good; they didn't have menus in english, but the waiter really took effort to explain everything to us. Ambience also really nice. And all for quite lower price than other (fancy) places. Thumbs up!

La Mama is a classic! You have to try Turkey soup, especially in cold days. Breakfast is also great with tasty tea served with honey. Quite tasty & healthy!

Amazing food, got to try a few different local dishes in one big meal and was amazingly surprised and the flavour of the difference meets. The papanasi was freshly cooked to order and was worth ever second waiting for it! Recommend to anyone what wants to try lots of different food for good price.

Good value, nice ambiance, tasty meal

I loved La Mama the first time I tried it. Now, being my fourth time in Romania, I wanted to try other places. But one day I was hungry and saw my old trusted favorite across the street. I was surprised to find it so empty. I guess La Mama has other bad sons like me that don’t visit her as they used to. Try the smoked pork with beans and feel the shame of not having visited your mom more often. Do it before all your siblings realize that La Mama is always right and crowd this house again.

Good place to grab something to eat, situated in the city center, next to the University and the old town, perfect for lunch while walking around the city to discover it. You can also find traditional dishes and, of course, a good pint of beer or glass of wine. You can also admire the architecture of the place, since this part of the city still has some buildings of the old Bucharest.

We went to a different branch were the food was okay and the staff very indifferent. So we were reluctant to try another branch, however we were extremely glad we came to this one the food was outstanding and the service was impeccable and friendly make sure you go to this one near the university.

Great meal! We had only half an hour to spend there and we asked them if they could cook it faster. They did, we enjoyed the meal (light meal) and we finished on time. Great service

Really good traditional food. Service was good and the prices are quite reasonable. Maybe they should do a bit more to make the atmosphere more special but that's a small nitpick.

Loved the traditional style food on offer and their prices. Do try papanasi the doughnut with sour cream and cherry filling. It's something else!

Perfect, as usual. They have a new menu with new items, a pleasant surprise. I totally recommend the homemade bread and the soups.

Nice service and great drinks. We stayed there for a couple of time whitout eating and did not get any problems. We recommand for tourists.
