Ciucarul Mare

Excellent way of spending free time in Dubova. An easy hike with ascent only in the first part, then the route continues with a superb view of the Danube Boilers. The route is well marked (yellow triangle), partially "in a loop", and is about 5 kilometers long.

Amazing view, worth the hike. Had two stray dogs accompanying us which was cute. The first half was hard, definitely you need hiking boots! Entrance hiking area filthy and not properly signalled. Across the football field there is a tiny path where it starts, we parked next to it. Follow the yellow triangles on the trees for the panoramic view.

The trail may seem steep and difficult in the beginning. After the short “climbing” area, the hike will only consist of a relaxing walk through the forest. Once you reach the peak, you get to see the beautiful scenery. I’d consider this a medium difficulty hike, that we managed to complete under 2 hours (including the time we took to rest & take pictures).
Be precautious! You can encounter vipers on the trail. You should wear appropriate hiking equipment.

A nice short hike to reach stunning views of the Danube.

Parking on the side of the road, not crowded in the morning, covered table with bench right on top, very clean, properly marked.

Medium difficulty trail, about 2.5km, nothing dangerous, just a bit uphill at the begging, but if offers a spectacular view over the Danube. A "must do".

Breathtaking view of the Danube and the surroundings ! The trail is not too difficult but it takes some effort, there are some few hundreds meters of uphill, on top is almost flat and requires almost no additional effort except basic walking. It worth the effort 100%

Merita vizitat, un loc usor accesibil cu privelisti minunate. Prima parte a urcusului, aproximativ 20 de minute, este mai abrupta apoi plimbare tot restul traseului. Noi am parcurs traseul marcat ce ne-a ghidat roata, de-a lungul Dunarii. Traseul este marcat bine, din pacate cateva panouri informative au cazut si nu au fost reparate. Un catelus localnic ne-a fost ghid aproape tot traseul.

Priveliște superba asupra Cazanelor Mari din punctele de panoramă de pe platou..Trebuie sa faceți traseul neapărat dacă sunteți în zona

Nu trebuie ratat daca ajungi in zona. Traseu de 2 ore dus-intors.

Un traseu mediu cu 15-20min de urcare după care mers ușor. În total traseul durează până în 2h dus-intors mers lejer.

Un traseu super. Pornirea de la Terasa Ciucăr, prin stanga, din Dubova. Prima parte - ascensiune abrupta, dupa care traseul e lejer. Traseul merge mult prin padure, ceea ce il face ideal in zilele caniculare. La coborare ultima parte e solicitanta. Preferabil bocanci, merge si cu pantofi sport. Am intalnit pe traseu si doamne cu poșetuță si pantofi de oraș. 😊

Un traseu turistic de dificultate medie în care poți vedea natura sălbatică în splendoarea ei. În locurile de view poți surprinde în fotografii Dunărea cu cazanele ei!
