I was amazed by Avis at the Otopeni Airport!

It was my first time renting a car with Avis. I was a bit worried at first (I've had a couple of not so great experiences with other car rental companies in the past) but everything went absolutely great and smoothly.

The lady at the booth was amazing: very polite and friendly. She didn't try to sell us any extra insurance or terrorize us (we had our own insurance from another provider). Gave us clear instructions for everything.

When we returned the car, the guy there did a quick check of the car and had me sign that everything was fine and I didn't have to pay anything extra.

The car was great as well.

Overall a great experience.

Definitely recommend and I'll prefer Avis for my next trip.

Reading the bad experiences of other people and their feedback, I have to admit my experience was totally the opposite.
I called from abroad, made a booking of my car in less than 2 minutes via phone, the car was ready at my arrival. I have received a car in very good conditions at fare price (much cheaper than other Avis locations outside Romania).
No additional charges other than the ones I signed for.
Everything was perfect and the reception personnel was super welcoming. I have never experienced better with Avis in other countries: transport was ensured from the airport to the parking place (and retour when I returned the car), where an employee welcomed me personally (not like in other countries where you are left alone to search for a car in a parking lot full of hundreds of cars), he explained to me the latest road regulations in the country (which is a very good practice), presented the car to me (like it was for sale :), helped me with a free extra USB cable to charge my phone during the trip.
I was more than comfortable during the pick-up, trip and when returning the car. For me, it is for sure a place where I will return again when needed! Thank you.

Great experience! The car was clean with a full gas tank and with wiper fluid. The staff was nice and the shuttle to the parking lot didn't leave us waiting. 👍

The staff are very helpful and the fleet is well maintained. The issues I had with the contract were resolved on return. Avis in Romania is a very professional team.

Best experience had so far with car rental.
Welcomed by front desk (speaks 4 languages so to accommodate any client), then got upgraded by 2 classes in a really nice brand new car, with great infotainment and comfort. No issue with drop off either, welcomed and checked car status in 2 minutes. Received via email all confirmation of contract pick up and proper drop off. Way beyond the expectations of what I read from past reviews, recommended!

Amazing service, everything went like planned, minimum of the time spent to pick-up and to drop off the car. Very nice people, they offered transport from and to the airport. Definitely I'll rent again for the next trip in Romania!

We rent a brand new VW Golf from Otopeni airport for couple of days. They had the smallest deposit of 100euros (it was refunded in 5 days) as an insurance and for the car we paid 123euros total. We dropped the car downtown with no further charge and without any problem. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I recommend the company and i will prefer them for sure in the future.

I had a real great experience with renting a car from Avis Romania. They were very friendly and helpful all the way. The car was almost new. It’s nice to have a reliable service when you are in a foreign country. Thank you Avis Romania for contributing to my great vacation.

Rented a car for the weekend to go to Sinaia. Had booked the car in advance, did the paperwork at the airport and was shuttled to the parking lot which took less than 5 minutes. Got a relatively new Golf 7 with about 14000km down, that had 2 minor damages that I got informed about when picking it up. Dropped the car off 2 days later without any issues.

This was the 2nd time we used Avis in Bucharest for a 22 day rent, and we had another good experience. Quick service at the desk, a minibus waiting to take us on the short ride to pick the car up (it's on site so only a couple of minutes), and a virtually brand new car waiting. They don't try and con extra money out of you with fuel etc. Just good quality service with no fuss. I will continue to use them!

This is a very good rental office. The second time I used them and will do so next time again. Very friendly and competent service (from Patricia I believe and then by the person at the parking station) cars in perfect condition and pick up-return parking located straight on the main road with shuttle bus to the airport. Payment happens when you return the car, this took like 4 minutes and was really easy.

Every time I rent a car from here things go as smooth as possibly. The girls at the counter are helpful and always smiling. The only inconvenient that I have with this office is the fact that for the extra driver I have to provide, beside the driving license, also an ID. It seems redundant and I have only encounter this measure at this office. Other than that, no problems.

One of the best to rent from. Lady at the arrivals counter was very professional, helpful and friendly. She explained everything needed, offered extras without pushing. She simplified the process.
Car rented was new and clean, only had 10K kilos driven.
Renting and returning process were both smooth with no hassle at all.
A place I definitely recommend if you are visiting Bucharest and looking to rent from the airport.

I had a great rental experience back in June. Their cars are really well taken care of - the Skoda that was provided was brand new.

Had to wait a few minutes in but the customer service was excellent and they were thorough about going through the rental agreement.

Very good services, I strongly recommend. The price was fair, the car was new, the employees were very professional, both the renting and returning process went smoothly.
