Wonderful place to chill and enjoy life. Food and drinks are excellent. We had some different plates but the bao with tuna was outstanding.
As former coffee shop owners we definitely can say the coffee is tremendous. Even the selection of cakes and pastry is from traditional Portuguese to some extra funky yummy things. We made not to make fotos from everything because it was all very delicious.
The staff and the owner are super friendly. Would love to visit this place again.

Great place for local cyclist to stop for coffee and a quick, healthy meal. Was perfect midpoint stop for food/coffee from bike ride from Faro to Monchique. Beautiful town with views all the way to ocean.

Was very busy, had fast service and delivery of food. All was great and lots of options for all. G-Bike shop is smaller than main store in Portimao, but had options for rentals and again - fantastic customer service!!!

The place is very nice and has a great atmosphere.
I tried the vegan cheesecake and the turmeric latte. They were very tasty.

Good food and great service. Prices are fair quality is high.. definitely a thousand times better than the other two places across the street where we had to wait and didn't get anything. See you again soon 😃

Lovely, relaxing, & modern cafe ambiance, perfect for coffee, breakfast, or lunch.
What a great find! I was not expecting to find such a relaxing modern café (with decent coffee no less) in this little old village on top of the hill.
I didn’t get to try the lunch menu, but I tried their açaí bowl, breakfast burrito, and the duck pie, which were all very good. However, I wished they had served the duck pie heated, would have been much better.
Oh, and there is a bike shop as well, hence the name :)

I’m not sure why they are categorized as a restaurant but this place is more like a really nice coffee shop that serves food, in fact, probably the best coffee you’d find in this village.

Note to the owner: Velochique didn’t come up when I did a search for coffee on Google maps, I would suggest changing the category, you’d get so much more business since you’re only open for breakfast & lunch anyhow. :)

Food was wonderful, the service can be a bit slow at times, but very friendly and helpful. We watched live music there recently, it was a great atmosphere.

Best ceaser salad I've ever had even the fries. Well worth the visit. The name really suits the place. Well done! I'll be back later during the week for a second round 😀

Beautiful place to park up the bike and rest your bones for an hour or three.

Modern, tasteful and a bit hipster place. Excellent location. When sitting outside one can enjoy murals and central square fountain. We just had drinks, but I’ve went in to check sweets and it’s was good selection of non traditional ones :) A lot of locals were eating there which is always a good sign. Very efficient and friendly service.

We rented two road bikes with rim breaks.

Got a great oat milk latte to go. Unfortunately dogs are not allowed or I would have come to this place every day for the duration of my stay. It was raining so outside was no terrace :( great vibe tho

A very modern and trendy cafe/restaurant in Monchique. Great food options with great coffees and desserts/pastries.
The service was very good with friendly and professional staff. I really liked the atmosphere, in the heart of the town.

Great place to go for a bit more variety, something a bit different. I had a açaí bowl and baked avocado, both of which I can recommend.
Service was ok, place was decorated nicely and great outdoor seating. Can rent and fix bikes there too

Great food! We definitely recommend the buns, but try their toast if you are in for a treat.

Nice place to make a pause, eat something delicious and continue. Food was delicious, I had the veggie burger, a real veggie burger: fantastic! Must place to visit in Monchique.

We rented a roadbike during our stay in the Algarve. The bikes are solid and the service is excellent. Lee was very helpful and also provided us with gpx files for routes in the surrounding area.

We ate in this place today, it was a really amazing experience. The pulled pork burger is seriously the best in the area (we live in Lagos, so we sampled a few burger before :) ).
I had a pork poke bowl. Also amazing: fresh ingredients, lovely natural flavors. The daily special fresh juice was so good, my 3 years old smashed it down within 3 minutes…
Eaton Mess- is super intense but not too sweet. We shared it with my husband and it was perfect finish for our lunch.
Atmosphere is cute: bang in the middle of the town, nice bikes and decoration.

Trendy bike-themed cafe catering mostly to tourists, I assume. Not my usual "cup of tea" but everything was very good.

Best pancakes I’ve ever had! Great food, great service, great atmosphere.
