Good place to eat all year round, which speaks volumes for the area. Most others are closed after the summer. This is a family run business with good quality service and food. This restaurant fills up very fast for the weekend lunches, so you need to arrive early in order to get a table. It's worth it though!

Was a great experience - the food is very typical of Monchique area , very tasty & with big portions.
The owner is a very gentle person and the the other staff professional & nice.

Casual but nice. Very friendly staff, good service, good prices and very good food. Actualy visited twice. Once for lunch and one for dinner.

Traditional Portuguese food from friendly staff. Had not been for a few years but the owner remembered me. Everything freshly cooked. Nice atmosphere all round.

Restaurant typiquement portugais, loin des paillettes du bord de plage. Super bon et très copieux. Personnel très sympathique et mention spéciale pour le patron et son épouse (c’est elle qui cuisine).

Monchique só podia ser Maximino. Tantas e tantas vezes que lá vamos apesar do atendimento não ser do melhor. Com um pouco mais de simpatia ganhavam mais.

Une excellente adresse pour les amateurs de cuisine traditionnelle de viande et de porc.
Malgré un service froid et Inhumain la cuisine est excellente et les prix sont plus que correct.
La cuisine étant "réellement" authentique ce qui se perd partout me fait mettre 5 malgré le service et l’ambiance qui ne sont pas favorable.
