Lovely architecture with a modern and up market touch. Nice church and surrounding areas. Clean Green neat and clean. Peaceful place to spend some time away from the hussle and bussle of the city. Wonderful experience!

This church was it was built in the area where there was a dairy and was inaugurated in 1953. ARCHITECT: António Lino. SCULPTORs: Soares Branco and Soares de Almeida. PAINTER: Domingos Rebelo which painted some episodes from the life of Saint John of God. The Church, beautiful and sober, has a peculiar arquitecture designed with the concern of bringing the faithful closer to the altar, in contrast to the distance that prevailed until then between the priest and the assembly.

Wonderful church with peaceful atmosphere. Beautiful interior. Unfortunately I have not attended any services here, not speaking Portuguese being a problem but certainly a good place for worship and prayer.

Ok, now I am in a dilemma! Even if I am not a prayer at all, I found this church when I was in Lisbon for a carcinoma removal in 2014. I was completely alone and I found all the peace and silence I needed inside of this Church. So, even if I am not the kind of person that practice, this church have a very special meaning for me, sorry. I always return here when I come to Lisbon.
