We visited Lisbon and found this hidden gem. The food was amazing!!! Very friendly staff. They accompanied us even though we didn't have reservations.

The shellfish rice was my favorite!!!

The food was so delicious that we ate there again the night before we left Portugal.

Home-cooked Portuguese food with exceptional service. This is my first meal in Lisbon and I kept coming the following days. Pretty much you can find a wide range of food in the menu and also the price is reasonable too.

Service was exceptional. I was a solo diner and felt welcome and comfortable here. I had the codfish and potatoes - absolutely delicious. And couldn’t say no to a crème brûlée 🍮 which is made on-site - again delicious and creamy and beautifully presented. I would highly recommend. There was a mix up with my order and the team were quick to resolve with no fuss. Really friendly waiting team also.

It was my first meal in Portugal, I didn’t expect it to be so tasty that I would definitely come back.
I recommend garlic shrimp, grilled Octopus & potato and Steak with egg and chips.

Adriana our server was incredible! The Traditional Portuguese style Shellfish Rice was magnificent! We have been searching for a small family restaurant with this exact menu item - what a great find!

Great service, great wine suggestions, a wonderful meal with a Bottle of wine for about 34€ for two of us!

And... they were open early (we sat down at 4:15pm) so it's possible to dine before the 6:30 pm rush!

If I could rate this place higher, I would! From the moment my husband and I arrived, we were made to feel so welcome by staff. The restaurant was very busy, but they made space for us and sat us at a great location. Everyone was very patient with us, and explained the menu perfectly. When the food arrived it was delicious, so well cooked and flavourful. We shared a jug of local wine, which was also perfect. I cannot fault this place, and feels like a true Portuguese gem!

Cozy restaurant serves real Portuguese food. I had octopus in olive oil and garlic, it was tender with great flavor.

This is a fantastic family restaurant. Our second visit, and we were not disappointed. The Seafood Rice, and the Codfish with Cream were delicious. We were lucky enough to have Adriana as our server again, and she is an absolute delight. This is a restaurant that we will return to as often as possible when we are in Lisbon and absolutely highly recommend to anyone who wants really good homemade Portuguese food.

An easy five stars. Hostess was very kind and welcoming to this solo traveller, and menus were in English. Delicious and ridiculously inexpensive house wine and a wonderful and large serving of cod with corn bread. Happily surprised by the large amounts of cooked veggies that were included as well. Definitely a place to visit if you are in the area!

Great local Portugiese eatery. Service is fantastic. The chef is a really nice guy. Had lots of dishes to share. Every single one of them was good.

I come here often with my colleagues (almost every week). If you are looking for a genuine traditional Portuguese cuisine restaurant, you are at right place! The food is amazing and fresh. The staff is very very nice (our waiter went over and beyond), the restaurant is very clean and cozy and the food is really good!!! I will be back with more friends and colleagues. Very nice and friendly place. Its quite small but cozy and busy even on weekdays. Ordered the black sausage, octopus and cod with corn bread. Portions are massive for the prices. Also have good selection of local beers and wines. Thank you to the staff with help around some of the dishes and coffee selection.

Gorgeous typical Portuguese Restaurant with very kind and friendly service personell and amazing food at very fair prices. The portions are generous too. 100% recommend. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

If you are looking for authentic Portuguese cooking served in a family atmosphere with Mom, Dad and their son and with great food, wine and service, come to Alto Minho. We are visiting from Canada and had the best experience here, delicious food, served in a casual and friendly way. Such a nice family and such great food. I highly recommend it. Inexpensive. Small, cozy place. Had bread with sardine pâté and a superb bacalhau com natas. Closed the meal with excellent coffee and "serradura" for dessert. Friendly service.

Amazing octopus and shellfish soup to first and foremost. Service was amazing as well, we went with a 10 month old who was fussy due to a missed nap and our server was super understanding and kind, changing the TV to a kid's show and giving him his own cup and bowl. Would very highly recommend.
