Excellent Portuguese 🇵🇹 restaurant where I tried the grilled Sardines though it’s off season they felt fresh. Good dining experience and it’s a little space with more staff to serve as I felt. It’s nice to have attentive staff around. One of the Asian staff (Korean I presume) was quite efficient and courteous. Others were Bangladeshi were also good. The fish soup was served as complimentary by the chef is a nice touch and appreciated. The bread basket was left on the table along with cheese and ham. It’s good of them to mention it’s not complimentary as otherwise we would have thought it otherwise as they are complimentary by tradition. The food was authentic and I appreciated the ambience and well kept atmosphere. I was the only other customer slowly it for filled up.

I just had the best fish dinner in a long time here. Truly good, fresh, tasty. This place is a hidden gem. Service is also excellent, wine is great. American Express accepted.

We were recommended by our Airbnb tenant to this restaurant near by. To our surprise, we found that this restaurant has a 5 stars rating, food was excellent and the service was tip top and very attendant. Further more, we had complimentary sea food soup and at the end of our dinner, we were served Portuguese sweet wine. Very good service & price in Lisbon.

The experience was brilliant. They were super careful with the service. Always available and attentive (they even served water just when the glass was immediately empty). They gave us a tasty soup for free when we sat to eat. When we arrived, with reservation, the table was all prepared with cheese and bread that you could eat (but you have to pay for it). The food was magnificent (one of the best balacao a bras we have eaten), they gave us great recommendations in terms of what to eat. The plates are enormous, we ordered too much, however, they packed everything left to take away with no problem. Good price for the quality. It was recommended by locals of Lisbon and we think that it is the place where he have better eaten here.

Super food and service at this restaurant! Ordered the grilled mixed fish platter was incredible! Was quite busy as it was a Saturday night but after having a glass of wine we were quickly given a table. At the start they even have us a fish soup on the house which was super tasty.

Im not quite sure why this place is 3,9, but the service was fantastic and they were very sweet. I felt like i was eating at home. They gave me free soup and the wine i thought was equisitr. Lots of options and chef specials and i just had a really tasty meal. Refilled my energies. Come here and ear

We visited early in the evening so it was very quiet, but very welcoming to us with our young son. High chair provided and well looked after. Food was good, and all reasonably priced. Easy to walk past but recommended.

We loved Alfaia! The staff were so friendly and made us feel very welcome on our first night in Lisbon. We all had fish and every dish was delicious. Simple food executed perfectly. They even gave us starters and shots on the house! Would recommend to anyone staying in Lisbon.

This is a delightful restaurant full of old charm. The staff were friendly, polite and very helpful and the service was attentive yet unobtrusive. The complimentary soup was a nice touch. We had the fillets of bream baked in the oven Portuguese style - a taste sensation. The house wine was very good and reasonably priced and we had a lovely 10 year old tawny port with our coffee.

Recommended by my hotel as authentic Portuguese cuisine. Everything was as expected. Homestyle made with love. I would think that anything on the menu will be authentic and tasty.

Really a nice local restaurant with quality dishes and excellent staff. I give it 5 stars for what it is- a casual side street restaurant. The large prawn and sardines were excellent (we were there during sardine season)

I was blown away by how good this restaurant was, and was my favourite so far on our trip to Europe. The portion sizes, price and the quality of the dishes were great. The other restaurants we visited had very high prices and low portion size.

1 of the best restaurants in Bairro Alto. I went on a Saturday and it was obviously packed with people, upon asking for a table and knowing that it will be some time before getting one, the waiter offered us few seats next to the restaurant and got us wine! I was sceptical given the bad reviews on a specific waiter but they probably got rid of him. The fish was good! And at the end of the dinner they offered us shots of Porto.

Amazing service, food, and staff! This was my best meal in Lisboa by far, and jt was so good I returned a second time during the trip. Highly recommend the Alentejo Soup, Duck, seafood, and local wines.

I was carrying a crying baby and stopped by here to grab a bite despite the fact that this place has a bad review. I did not want to walk any further.

We ordered filet mignon with mushroom sauce, squid dish and shrimp & clam rice. Oh my god. Filet mignon was one of the best steak I had on this trip ( probably 20th one I had so far on this trip). They were very friendly yet professional. Prices are way reasonable. We sure will come back again!
