Café Buenos Aires

We did not have reservations, which you must have (it is always full!). But we got there about 6:30pm. They were able to accommodate us until 8:30pm. Everything we ordered was amazing, and large-so come with an empty stomach. The empanadas were absolutely delicious and I wanted more, but also wanted to try something different. My husband ordered the streak, I ordered the vegan choice! Oh my! Great choices!!

Came across this little gem whilst walking about. The staff are lovely and tell you cash only before you take your seat. I wanted steak, so went for the 1/2 steak. I also had a starter so when my main arrived, I was astonished at the size of the steak. Let's just say I ate as much as I could and didn't touch the potato chips☺. Do make time to eat here, it gets busy after 8pm, so pre-book or come early. Third photo is the green bean tempura starter on my second visit, I will share photo of the flank steak shortly.

We had the smoked fish starter for sharing which was more than enough for dinner for two. It was absolutely delicious

We were recommended by Rick Steeves book to eat here. We are glad we did. The outdoor patio on the stairs was an incredible atmosphere. We could see the Castelo de S. Jorge from our seats as the sun set. It doesn't get any better than this. I had the Argentinian Sirloin. My wife had a pasta entree and Vinho Verde wine. A super evening to remember.

Best restaurant I've tried in Porto. Delicious food, they also have vegan option. Very friendly staff. Open also after midnight. I suggest the smoky plate for 2 people; green beans tempura was also delicious. Cozy atmosphere. It's an hidden gem in one of the most touristic zone in Lisboa, surrounded by mediocre tourist traps.

Decided to have dinner here while walking past, as menu looked good and restaurant looked inviting. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was very nice, with excellent service. My wife and I loved the codfish starter, shrimp, pasta and desserts. Very fortunate to have come across this lovely restaurant and enjoyed such a terrific meal.

It was one of the best discovery of lisbon , I was a bit scare because it was on a very touristic street , but we get a amazing experience, the food is so good and so tasty I really recommend! I will be back for sure , nice surprises as we love them

From the moment you step inside you know this place will be special. Wonderful atmosphere and great music sekection. Authentic Argentinan restaurant. Best steak my partner has ever had. I enjoyed vegan option with an interesting mix of flavors; roasted eggplant in a puffed pastry on a bed of greens with ripe pear and raspberries. Delicious. Lovely cod cakes as a starter. Stocked bar. Outside dining option. Cash only.

Had an awesome meal at the Cafe Buenos Aires. Food was great. Staff was wonderful. Wine was good too. Very reasonable. It is cash only. But since it is not expensive it's not a problem 😁

They squeezed me in even though they were fully booked. Gorgeous little restaurant, good service and amazing food. Their ceviche and octopus was stellar! If you can get a table outside, you’ll have a beautiful view of the old Moorish fort on the hill. Highly recommend!

Was quite a surprise! Everything we ordeed was good. The portions are fair, the quality of the food as well! Endives with gorgonzola… amazing! The service very atentive. The meat was juicy and tasty. The atmosfere took me to an argentinian type of cafe. Lovely details!

Excellent restaurant with tapas and large plates nestled on a cobblestone street. They only accept cash importantly. My partner and I split four tapas (recommend empanadas and ceviche) and a bottle of wine and were more than satisfied. The views of the city are remarkable in the outdoor seating area

A beautiful side street with views of the castle, they have blankets available for if it gets cold in the evening. The food is delicious - we had the summer salad, green pepper tempura, Argentinian steak and the most amazing chocolate cake with home made dulce de leche. An absolute must visit while you're in Lisbon.

Loved shrimp, the pasta, the cod. Warm cozy environment. Can’t wait to go back!! Wonderful grilled pineapple with coconut ice cream for dessert!

Great New Years set menu, everything was delicious, the fresh oysters, tuna tartar and the steak exceptional. Would recommend as a must go for anyone visiting Lisbon

This is a beautiful place with incredible food. We had the steak and ceviche. Both excellent, as was the white wine. Would highly recommend this place!
