Absolutely amazing meal here, the food was incredibly tasty. I highly recommend the tuna steak! Franco was an excellent waiter and made sure we had everything we needed. The food runner was also really lovely. Overall an amazing experience :)

The kitchen was slow though only half the restaurant was occupied. But the grilled seabream was amazing. It was very tasty and I strongly recommend it if you happen to see my review.

Lovely restaurant in the old city center of Faro. You can sit outside or inside. The service is outstanding and the food is delicious. We enjoyed our dinner very much.

A few moments walk from the stunning Arco Da Vila at the top of the hill in the centre of Faro's Old Town. We chose the location due to the courtyard being a lush sun trap and the chalkboard outside the Restaurant proper promising fresh Seafood. The three Waitresses were an absolute delight, very friendly and knowledgeable about their menu and allergies and intolerances even though English was not their native language so both my partner and I were extremely impressed. The Food blew us away! Both Octopus dishes were extremely tender, the prawns were absolutely bursting with flavour and the Ria De Formosa Oysters were the crowning jewel. It was so good we went there twice and this wasn't the town we were staying in. Would 100% recommend and return given the chance.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed a lovely dinner on the beautiful terrace of Cidade Velha, right in the heart of the old town of Faro.

The service was very friendly, the background music was pleasant and the food was very good. I started of my meal with a tasty fish soup and as a main course I ordered the grilled octopus. Both dishes were excellent.

I liked the fact that we could order wine by the glass and the waiter actually came and showed us the bottle of the wine we ordered before pouring our glass. Most restaurants we visited in the Algarve would just bring us a glass of wine without showing the bottle.

The food was not fancy, but fresh and very tasty. Would definitely eat here again.

I read multiple reviews on this spot before attending. We could not have been more pleased with the food, the service and the atmosphere!

First, Franco could not have been more accommodating! He walked us through the menu, provided us options without any pressure. The food was spectacular! I mean, really good. The seafood with rice was awesome. Sure, you can find it cheaper in other places, but not with this much seafood in it! It is loaded!Two of us could not finish it. I had three helpings and my wife two.

Great atmosphere! Really great dinner. Another couple had the Cataplana (meat and seafood). They ate it all! I had a taste and it was very good. Beautiful presentation. And masterfully served by Franco.

So very good. I'm not sure where and how the one star ratings came about, it was definitely a five star across the board!

Superb restaurant not far from the Cathedral in square in Faro Old Town. Staff were amazing and entertaining. Wine knowledge, spot on. Got the added bonus of a rooftop bar. In town for 3 nights, visited twice. Will definitely go back on next visit.

Look no further for the best food in Faro, simply amazing!! We had the stone cooked steak (cooked at the table by friendly and knowledgeable staff!) and the VERY FRESH sea bream followed by the Apple Pie and the Algarve Trilogy...just amazing! ☺💛🇵🇹

Went here for my partners birthday. One of my favorite places to eat in Faro. Friendly staff and the food was superb. They brought out some cake with a candle for my partner, which was a lovely touch. Can't recommend enough.

Great restaurant. I can recommend octopus. It was delicious. Other dishes that my friends try were very good too.

Lovely place. Could not fault the place or the food. Oysters, octopus salad, Pork cheeks and lamb shoulder were all stunning. The half bottles of wine were great as we could change between courses to suit. The waiter helped us select the best pairing.

The octopus is so special. The pork meat with clams has a very pleasant unique taste. For lamb lovers don’t miss the lamb leg in the oven with potato purée soaked in wine sauce. What is really a hit is the coriander basmati rice in the casserole. The cheesecake is really yummy. The restaurant is inside a real historic area as part of a castle fort that was built by the Arabs more than one thousand years ago. It is just opposite to the city hall of Faro. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor dining in a very romantic atmosphere. Keep up the good work. Wish more and more success.

Beautiful restaurant in front of the cathedral, great and super friendly service and the food was just wow! Living in London, but this was the best food and restaurant experience I had for a long while. 100% recommend this place and will come again in the future.

Snuck in a last minute late booking for 5 on our last night in Faro. Beautiful location right in the middle of the old town and its cobble streets. Helpful service. The star was the food, great showcase of authentic cuisine and fresh fish. We really loved the very generous lobster rice, seafood cataplana and grilled octopus. Definitely recommend giving this a go if you're in Faro

We only had an entrée and dessert, washing it down with a couple of glasses of vinho branco, but these were so tasty leaving our bellys satisfied. Our eyes and ears took in Faro Old Town, making the whole experience excellent and definitely worth a visit. The staff were attentive and on hand to make recommendations.

We had a fabulous meal here, with outstanding food and service. The monkfish and prawn kebab and the steak cooked on a hot stone at the table were exceptional. The location outside in the historic square was also the best we found in Faro. Highly recommended for a special evening.

The atmosphere is cosy and the decoration is really modern. The service is pleasant and smiling, very friendly.
The Cataplana is delicious and really well cooked, the tuna and the wolf fish are well seasoned ; the desert are also very typical. We enjoyed all our dishes !
