Was recommended this place from a local. Would highly recommend it. It’s good price, delicious food and good service. We tried the wagu beef for the first time and was melt in your mouth delicious. We also had the rump, filet and butchers steak - all very tasty. The trio of desserts was worth ordering as they were yummy.

Quite possibly the best steak I’ve ever had. Steaks come with 2 sides, fries/salad/rice. Extra sides were ordered. Service a little slow but not too much of a problem. Steaks amazing.

Lovely steak house restaurant. Had the most nicest steak. Great friendly helpful staff helped us choose the right steak.

We have 47 hungry golfers, I've booked a 3 course steak dinner for our group. The Steaks, The Lamb, Pork, Fish and everything we ordered was cooked to perfection, the wines and the desserts was great too. The service was friendly and efficient.
Adelino (The Boss) is Awesome. It was a busy night in the restaurant, Adelino keep popping out from the Kitchen to check on us, making sure everything goes smoothly.
I have been using Butchers for few years and the standard are always high and consistent.
Look forward to visit again next year.

If you love meat and aren't on a tight budget, look no further.
The meat is really good. There's a great atmosphere and good service. There's other options (like fish, vegetarian burger..) for people who are not into meat. The deserts are amazing. The prices are a bit on the higher end for around 20€ per person with side dish.

4,5* - The only thing I can complain is that the vegetarian burger is frozen and not home-made. I understand it's a meat restaurant but my friend should have received a dish as fresh as mine. Frozen burger (even thoug h the best you can buy on the supermarket) in a quality restaurant like this, shouldn't be acceptable.

The meat quality is really excellent. When you say rare they take it seriously. Rib eye and burgers highly recommended.

Meat is fantastic but what sets it apart are their sides - great healthy (and not so healthy options). I wasn’t in a red meat mood and the secreto I had was nice and tasty. I would go back for a steak - creamed spinach and lime cheesecake were some of the best I’ve had

We leave in France where they kill,skin,cut and sell, probably all in 3 days.
Never eat steaks in France.

Truly amazing meats and a great time at Butchers Almancil. The restaurant opened up at 6:30pm as opposed to the reported 7pm, with seating and ordering being very smooth as guided by the very friendly wait staff (menu was done via scanning a qr code and viewing a pdf on your phone, very smart in light of COVID-19). We ordered the beef carpaccio, cowboy steak medium doneness and a chocolate mousse as dessert, and were thoroughly satisfied by the taste of all the dishes; very meaty, well seasoned with flavorful. Keeping in mind that the place was still also a butcher, we ordered some ribeyes and duck breasts for us to take back home after the meal as well. Very satisfied and will definitely be coming back in the future.

Awesome food. Fantastic quality and price. Highly recommended and will definitely be returning. Cannot comment on atmosphere as the 4 of us ate at 6pm and were the first there. Slowly started filling and was getting busier when we left!

Excellent meat restaurant, just like the name says. My meal was exquisitely prepared, and I was extremely satisfied. The wine list is also long, with lots of quality and we chose a great Alentejo wine to pair with the meat. The staff was friendly. The desserts were good but can be improved. Covid measures were respected.

Best meat I’ve ever ate! Everything was superb! The starters, the meat, the cocktails and the desserts! You should definitely try the trilogy that includes the lime cheesecake, apple crumble and chocolate mousse! Additionally, the place and decor are very tasteful. For sure, I’ll come back many times.

Excellent steak house in Almancil, the classic burger with goats cheese is amazing, as are the steaks, potato gratin and bearnaise sauce.
