Super nice explorative walk to the Queda do Vigário cascada: located in the beautiful hill range of Loulé. It starts behind the cemetery of Ate and you can either take the new staircase or the little roundwalk… max. 15 mins from the parking

Very beautiful, especially during sunset. You can walk to it from the parking (behind the cemetery) via wooden stairway or to have a short walk (take a ground path marked as "shortcut" instead of concrete road, even our 4-year managed that).

Nice spot for a break. Waterfall into a small picturesque pool. Take a dip if the weather is nice. Can get busy, but worth a visit.

Beautiful meadow and waterfall. Lively clean, cold water to swim in. Wasn't too busy when we went there ( Wednesday afternoon) .

From the cemetery car park follow the steep path down and around to the left. It feels even steeper on the way back up !

Beautiful waterfall away from the crowds. Park at the cemetery and follow the track for about 15 minutes. You can't go wrong. Swimming is possible so that you are directly under the cascade. We went late morning during the week and there was no one else there. Worth visiting!

Very beautiful place, and as for the 'completely dry' reviews, they cant help the fact they are in a drought. Its a very quaint place and well worth a look. The people are very friendly and the town is full of history.

There was water. A previous review said it had dried up, but it had been raining the previous week

To get to the waterfall you need to park in the cemetery and then follow everyone else holding towels down the steep road. Whilst I would advise you to travel light to save yourself for the steep walk back, there isn’t much shade in the garden next to the waterfall so if you are going in the middle of the day I would advise an umbrella that you can push into the grass. Waterfall itself is beautiful, although be prepared for the water to be very cold!

We went in June 2021 around 12pm - there were about 10 people around the pool and 10 people on the grass next to it. The water was beautiful and very deep, cold but refreshing. A beautiful spot, recommend going as early as the weather permits, to avoid big groups taking pictures. We went into the water twice and then sunbathed on the grass. It was lovely, very peaceful. Really recommend, a romantic spot! The walk down is VERY steep so not suitable for anyone who may struggle.

This place is a hidden gem. It's a bit of a walk to get there from the main road, but it's worth the walk. When the sun is shinning it's the perfect place to sunbathe as it's very quiet and peaceful. You could take a picnic along also as there is no food or drinks on sale here. There is enough space for all to swim in the waterfall and if you are brave enough you can even jump in from the top of the waterfall.

There was no water, but still beatiful. Came all the way from Norway for only this, but coming back when the water has returned. It was a five minute walk from were we parked☺

This was like a visit to a Disney World paradise. It's small and quiet, but I could hang here for an hour and soak it up. It's a bit tricky to find, but worth the effort.
