An incredible experience, food is divine. We ordered squids, boar and black pig, one better than the other. Plus some amazing deserts😋

Had a deer stew, which was delightful. Also tasted the wild boar stew, which was evenly delicious.

Food, ambience and service were all excellent. Struggled to pick just one main course as so many of the menu choices sounded delicious. I finally decided on the black pork and shrimp kebab and really glad that I did. It looked amazing and was cooked, seasoned and presented to perfection. Fortunately my friend’s choice of wild boar stew defeated her (the portion sizes are VERY generous) so I was able to sample some of her stew as well, again, it was delicious. Needless to say, we will be making a return visit.

We stopped here for a coffee and a hot chocolate. Both were freshly made. The chocolate cake was very light, delicious.

Came back again for the second time to this lovely authentic regional Portuguese cuisine. And again haven't been disappointed. Great value and awesome food!

It's a simple restaurant with excellent food! We had migas de caça, cabrito and galo and they were all perfect. Even though the restaurant is far from main cities it is worth the ride. Also, the restaurant has a nice Deck to have lunch.

Absolutely worth the drive! A plethora of wild game on the menu and generous portions. My wild boar stew was fork tender and delicious. Highly recommended! Book in advance.

If you are looking for a traditional restaurant, I highly recommend this one. Here you will feel the taste of the traditional Portuguese food.
All ingredients are fresh and super tasty.

I went there once and... became a fan!!! No one complain about the food. The journey was long but worth it. Even my mom that likes to complain said nothing. Everything resumed to one word.......AMAZING!!!!

This is like a hidden gem of Algarve. So happy we’ve decided to take a longer drive to Barrancos do Velho for a lunch.

This place breathes authenticity. Tables available either inside, or on a terrace (covered or uncovered areas available to choose). Unpretentious but very cosy.

Portions are hearty. We’ve ordered Migas com Bochechas no forno - Pork cheeks and bread mash from the oven, which is a dish for 2. There were 3 of us, and we felt like it was enough even for 4. Delicious dish, highly recommended.
