Excellent location with choice of inside or outside in a wonderful tranquil setting. The staff are very courteous and happy to speak in good English. I heard a member of staff also speaking in German to a family so the multilingual staff are very professional. Now the food, it was excellent. Certainly the best we have had so far. Generous portions and lots of flavour. Lamb stew on Sunday is a recommended dish, bit be aware if you leave it too late the best seats will be gone as this is obviously a popular choice for locals too. Iberian pork fillet was simply amazing. The Portuguese style steak was so soft and flavoursome. Highly commended restaurant.

We had both of the daily specials, staff was courteous and attentive but left us to enjoy our meal and the fantastic patio with views from the surrounding mountains.

This restaurant is definitely worth a visit, the food is 1st class and very reasonably priced, the staff are so accommodating nothing was a problem, we had the the special, pork stew you must give it a try.

Great value and amazing food! The house red wine was one of the best we have had. Definitely would recommend this place for anyone visiting Monchique. We had the piri piri chicken and the black pork dish - both were phenomenal

Delicious chicken piri piri. Hand cut chips. The cheese and tomato and lettuce salad was delicious also, at a good temperature, not straight out of the fridge. The view past the flowering silky oak tree down towards the ocean is spectacular too. Excellent service. Highly recommended.

The seafood was very delicious, octopus with potatoes,s big shrimps with garlic were perfect.

Also, try local wine, it tastes good.

We have been eating here for 35 years and it’s as good today as it was then. The food is excellent and affordable. It’s clean and the staff are very friendly. Excellent service. Will eat here for the next 35 years. Bravo.

What a place with a view, amazing. We have been there twice now. First time we had PiriPiri chicken. It was good. This week there were five of us we all had the dish of the day, three had the pork and Mushroom stew, Two had the beef cutlet. I was expecting a smallish steak..............Wrong. What arrived was a massive steak from the Forerib, plus fry's and salad all for 10€!
The staff are great and responsive.
The view as I said above is truly amazing, we were debating where the buildings were that were visible in the far distance, looking at Google maps it must be Alvor with the sea beyond. They have two outside terraces, one open and one with a roof. There is also plenty of room inside

What is with the low ratings! It is the first time me and my partner been there and the food was top notch. We had the prawns for starter. The pork dish and The piri piri chicken. You can tell the chips is made from scratch and they manage to make veg taste like divine! Please note that when we went there. There was no meet and greet. You need to talk to them and ask for a table and the service was great.

I will definitely got back there in the future just for the piri piri chicken.

Cannot praise Foz do Banho enough. Traditional Portuguese dishes executed really well and fantastic value. Wish we'd eaten here every night of our holiday

Lovely food good value

I'm sure I read somewhere that Foz do Banho served up the best Peri Peri Chicken in the area.
It is indeed true.
Not only was it the best I'd tasted in the Monchique area, it was the largest and cheapest too.
