Such a wonderful little spot - had a lovely charming dinner on the rooftop and the staff and owners were so attentive and kind. Food was delicious and we enjoyed a beautiful bottle of local wine recommended by the owner. Highly recommend 👌🏼

Our experience at Oliwander's was one of our most amazing meals ever. The rooftop atmosphere was very romantic, with yet a mix of couples on dates and family gatherings. The food was amazingly delicious. Our server (wife of the chef) had such kind warm and connected with us not only to answer menu questions, but from a personal level as well, sharing stories of her family and portugal traditions.
If you are ever staying anywhere close by (even within 1 hour away), we highly recommend this restaurant for dinner.

Perfect for a relaxing and delicious evening. Eva is a charming hostess and Daniel an accomplished chef. Everything we ate and drank was fantastic. Highly recommend the octopus and salted cod. The lively conversation, seating movement from rooftop to bar to dining room, and leisurely paced service made us felt like we were dining at a friends house. If we lived here this would be on our regular dining rotation!

Superb dining experience. Beautiful location on the terrace. The most gracious hosts/owners. The food was exceptional. I wish their portions were twice as big because of how delicious it was but the smaller size and reasonable price allows sampling of multiple mains if you come with a big appetite.

Delicious food. The owners were so kind and attentive in helping us celebrate our anniversary. I love the beautiful tree inside the restaurant, such a unique added touch.

What an amazing find in Loulé! We were lucky enough to come across this gem on our last day in town. The food is flavorful and full of savory goodness. We had the tomato soup which was robust and delicately spiced. The mushrooms and peppers were cooked in an amazing oil that got deliciously sopped up with some extra bread. The roasted cheese was gloriously buttery and sublime.

The owner Ieva was so welcoming and gracious -- she made you feel like a member of the family. And to top it all off, the place is just so cool to look at! Make reservations because this place fills up, and rightly so!

Absolutely amazing atmosphere and decor and don’t get me started on the food & service… Ewa is a captivating host and Daniel the most incredible chef. Each dish & meal was unforgettable and made with so much care. Thank you so much for being so welcoming and for the most amazing food and drink! Will definitely be back again. :)

Came back a second time during our holiday. The food was that good. There’s an awesome rooftop — Definitely a nice experience. It can get chilly this time of year but they offer blankets.

Amazing food up on a rooftop terrace, a real highlight of our trip - and the owners went out of their way to feed us late on a Sunday night. Great wine and cocktails too. If we were staying in Loule longer we would certainly be back!

What a special place! Eva, one of the owners gave me tour and explained the details of the decoration. They put so much LOVE into this beautiful cafe.

Having a tea and a delicious homemade apple crumble was a pure blissful experience. Eva show me the many tea options... it was a gorgeous ritual just to choose the tea.

The place is very beautiful, it was comfortable and cosy inside and I want to return to experience the terrace.

I visited on a chilly Sunday evening, there was live music on the roof top which is accessed by a handy lift. I was carrying an ankle injury so was very happy about the access. The owner made a point of taking an additional table upstairs for me as it was full and couldn't have been more inviting. There is a cracking Harry Potter theme, with 13 Easter eggs scattered about the premises, I will definitely be back until I've found them all. For starters I had goats cheese with garlic and pistachios a solid 9/10 and delicious. For mains I opted for the wild boar with port source, it was out of this world 10/10, for desert was an apple crumble, spicy, cinnamon and vanilla ice cream devine. The portion sizes are on the smaller side so plan for three courses if you're a big eater like me. Wine was well priced had a lovely rose for 16 euro a bottle, and the house red was delicious at 4 euros a glass. My new favourite restaurant in Loule.

Oliwander’s is just as magical as the name is suggesting. We consider it an fancy extension of our dining room where things are as we would like them to be. Service, food and drinks are served with a love that you have to experience to appreciate.

Harry Potter challenge was fun. An amazing local restaurant with incredible food and great wine. Such great service, we’ll be coming back!!

Oliwanders is a very special restaurant/bar.

It is owned and run by a couple, who are currently managing and running the restaurant by themselves. They opened in Dec 2021 after renovating, and their focus is on sustainability. The restaurant is very loosely Harry Potter themed, with a few little Harry Potter themed touches dotted around the restaurant (e.g. a J.K. Rowling quote on the back of the menu), but don’t worry- the HP theme is very light touch so non HP fans would love this place too! For HP fans, there’s a fun game to play if you stay until the end!

The cocktail menu is fab - the margaritas are v. nice. The food is phenomenal. In particular, the mushroom & padron peppers starter, and apple crumble dessert, were fantastic. It’s hard to believe that it is all cooked fresh by the owner/chef working on his own in the kitchen.

The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated - all the decor and furniture has been hand picked and often made by the owners, with a focus on sustainability. The vibe on the rooftop bar is great and the music is chilled and creates a lovely atmosphere

The only thing that could be improved is service time (due to the owners being unable to find staff) - so despite running around working super hard, it’s hard for the owners to offer a quick service. This place isn’t for you if you are in a rush, but if you are up for chilling out and spending a couple of hours here, I would highly recommend!!!

Can’t recommend enough. Never been to a place with so much heart. This place is a complete labour of love. Every detail is beyond expectation, from the warm greeting by the staff to the service throughout, the food, personalised and special, even giving us a piece of the owner’s birthday cake, to the excellent wine choices, the music, the atmosphere, location, historic detail, discussion of the local wildlife, I’ve never felt so at home and yet so catered to in one experience. I say again, I can’t recommend this place enough.

Vau! We’ve been around the Algarve for over a year, tried lots of restaurants, but gosh … it’s an amazing pu, definitely the best and I was considering whether to disclose it because I do want to be able to get a table there always. The flavours, the service, the drinks’ and recommendations… 10 stars out of 5!

We had a good evening with great service. They serve well thought out dishes with intense flavors and high quality ingredients.

Everything is perfect here. The food is super tasty, the service is very nice and accommodating and the location is beautiful. Absolute recommendation.
