Nice hiking area, especially during off season. Path is well marked, impossible to get lost. Definitely try the little bridge. Paths are generally flat and easy to walk, though some parts may be a bit rocky. Parking available nearby. Going by MTB also possible.

Wonderful green countryside for walking and it's lovely to hear the sound of the river. Don't expect spectacular sights, but a relatively easy and well waymarked trail through a green valley. 4.5 km return walk, but the river is very hard to cross at the springs, over boulders, so we had to come back the same way.

Nice place to go for a change of scenery from all the Beaches. If you go in the Summer months take plenty of Water, the 'circuit' walk (which is well sign posted 👍) gets pretty hot 🔥🥵. Also, the river is very low at this time of year 😕
Don't follow Google Maps if you use the Waterfall/Steppingstone Bridge as it will try to direct you via a little dirt track that isn't designed for Cars🤦‍♂ Go past this dirt track and you'll find a Car Park adjacent to the Road (there is also another Car Park past that one, just follow the dirt track to the left of this Car Park)

Straightforward circular trail beside a small stream with lots of interesting information signs as you make your way. We passed several picnic tables dotted along the path. Great place for strawberry trees

On the road out of Loule towards Salir.
Parking near the road. From here a beautiful, relatively easy walk to the fonte or springs.

I can not stress out how gorgeous this place looks.

Nice place but don't go during the summer as there is not much water so waterfall literally doesn't exist... will back in the winter to see how it looks!

We went on 14 Dec 2020 . This place good for walk & jogging. Nice place to visit in summer & even in rainy season . Please don’t forget to take rain coat if you are going in rainy season. Because you need to walk 500 meters from parking to reach the water fall

park in the second way, 3 minutes after the first. Then walk about 30 minutes to the fonte and enjoy the sound of the water and frogs competing with the birds. Then back the same route. great easy walk.

Great place for a walk with family and experience a nice refreshing river swim in the small locks.
Easy to spot a few tortoise and flogs swimming around you.
You can walk along the footpaths all the way up the hill and enjoy a really nice view from the top. Cheap easy walk for a good 2 or 3 hours.
Bring water and food with you and stop in the 2 picnic areas.

Most amazing natural Park for hiking and water lovers. Absolut stunning location

We did the short about 5km walk in oktober. We loved it! We just took some little things to eat and drink ... And also our 3year old son enjoyed exploring the trail. We did need to carry him most of the time because it is a long walk. After the bridge there's some rough terrain but doable. We will come back again.

It's hard to find it at first, however, it's definitely worth a visit if you want to have a pleasant walk and just take in some fresh air and nature. The paths are marked so you can follow the red, yellow or white marked path depending on the difficulty. Still trying to identify which one is which but apart from that, an excellent spot to chill out.

All you would like to have on a medium long walk . Like an oasis in the hills.

Loved it. I'm not much of a rambler, but this is a very well preserved natural area with good access and well signposted to keep you on track. Interesting fact boards dotted along the trail telling you about the history, plants and animal life specific to the valley. There is a beautiful but derelict house at the entrance to the trail overlooking the valley which would make an amazing public building or restaurant if someone had the time, money, and vision. Picnic spot down by the water's edge in the cool shaded area, so worth taking a cold drink and a pack of sarnies. Longer trails for the more adventurous. Wheelchair friendly to a point.

Delightful nature walk. Here in late June with wild flowers, European pond turtle and Iberian water frog, kingfisher....a simple natural pleasure.

A short circular walk but a good one. Many flowers and birds. Set in the hills. Lovely.

Nice little walk with the family. The loop takes about 1h with parts in the shade.
