Alfredo runs a fantastic chilled and friendly joint if you like typical African joints - he was so friendly and put on his Guinea Bissau music for us to dance to when we requested it, as well as bringing us some delicious snacks whilst we drank our beer - and this all despite the language barriers - we had a great time, we were made to feel very welcome and very at home.

I stumbled into this restaurant a year ago and absolutely loved it. There are absolutely no frills and when I went no menu. The guy spoke little English and I didn’t speak any Portuguese or French but he made me and my friend feel welcome and when we asked for a selection of thing he would recommend he did just that. He popped into the very small kitchen and made chicken in a peanut stew, selection of grilled meats, salad, rice and fries while we watched. The portions were huge and the food was very very tasty. It actually felt like I was eating traditional food at someone’s home. I had a fantastic experience and all that food plus a few beers each cost less than €10 pp (actually cost €7 but we insisted on paying extra).
