A hidden gem next to the airport is what I would call this spot. The restaurant offers some typical portugues cuisine where locals gather. Excellent serving staff with great advice and help (do speak english that clearly help because of my broken Portuguese).
They have a daily special.

Hidden away in the suburb is this little gem. Family run restaurant with very homely feel. You will feel like you are at your grandmothers. Mario was absolutely a Gentleman explaining the menu in English. Excellent service and food. Make sure you ask for Mario's signature samosas.

This is a GEM in Lisbon. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our delicious meal of FRESH fish (swordfish and Sea bream) and beautiful salad and frites, with the Calcada Vinho Verde…. Our server Reuben was knowledgeable and helpful and attentive. Locals abound here, so it feels authentic and home cooked yet upscale in preparation and flavors. Ambience not fancy- just chill and comfy. Highly recommend. We ate at a 2 star Michelin two nights ago and, whilst incredibly different experiences, this is just as worthwhile and tasty. We had swordfish and Sean Bream. Obrigada!

Nice location! Me and my wife reached the location in the morning. We were offered a delicious breakfast of scrambled eggs, ham, cheese and toasts. Additionally we got a coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. Everything was very delicious and tastes good. The staff was very friendly and you could talk freely in English. Highly recommended!

Wonderful little fish restaurant. A place the locals dine at. Delicious food with affordable pricing. Very good service and friendly waiters. Nothing really extraordinary, just simply very good. Five stars!

Super! Very friendly Service.

We visited Peixe Azul for dinner after a quick Google search. The place is fairly close to the airport, and it's a family-run restaurant with great food, great prices, awesome service, and a local gem -- very authentic.

From the moment we arrived, we were given the royal treatment. Although we don't speak Portuguese, the waiter had no issues speaking to us in English and he gave us a walk-through of the Portuguese-only menu, and brought in samples whenever we ran into a language barrier.

In the end, the food was really quite good, affordable, and generously portioned; but it was the authentic feeling / flavours and the amazing service we received that made our experience so much better.

We got to Lisbon after a long trip from Houston to Washington DC to Lisbon. We were really hungry so I looked in Yelp for a restaurant. This one had 4 stars and the review I read said it had great food. We speak English & Spanish and we communicated mostly in English.

Really nice little place with delicious food! Seems popular with the local families, very relaxed atmosphere and very affordable prices.

Perfect local place to have dinner when you are around - e.g. staying at an airport hotel. Delicious, value for money, good wine, they speak English as well.
