Great, healthy vegan options at the airport and place to sit with a laptop while waiting for the plane.

Went here tonight with my Mum before catching our flight back to the UK. Great location with friendly and professional staff and lovely tea! Highly recommended!! :)

My partner and I ate at Soho Coffee in the departure lounge for breakfast ahead of our return flight to the UK.

As there were only a handful of flights departing that day the lounge was virtually empty, and we were served quite quickly.

I ordered an Americano with my avocado, and my partner a Coke Zero and some pancakes.

But what made this experience so great was not what we ordered, but what some other customers ordered after us.

It was an American group, who were all over the place when ordering. They were over-pronouncing words to the staff as if they were deaf when in actual fact quite a few of them had relatively good English.

One woman said she wanted an Americano coffee, asking “do you know what that is?” to a man stood below a menu that included such beverage.

“Yes, I do. Would you like one?” he said.

“Two” she said, holding up two fingers and mouthing it in such a way that was blatantly rude.

“Sure thing,” he said.

She returned to the table, only after picking up a couple of bottles of ketchup. And a short time later, their ‘Americano’s’ were ready to pickup.

Instead of being served in the usual way, as mine was, the man making the drinks (not the same man who took the order, a different one), went overboard with whipped cream and sugar on top.

I didn’t notice this at first, but my partner did and said the staff were messing with them. They hadn’t asked for their drink to be topped off like this, but I didn’t think they would do this.

But then another person ordered an Americano, they weren’t American, and it was served in the usual way, ie a cup with no whipped cream and sugar sprinkled all over it.

It was hilarious.

Anyway, our food was great. Our drinks were good. The service we received was excellent. And the entertainment was priceless.

Nice atmosphere but really noisy fridges. Staff is not amazing at keeping things tidy and clean on a slow day.

You can definitely see the difference, especially if you come from drinking great coffee on any Portuguese coffee shop, and I am not talking about prices. It is pricey for Portugal. But what makes me really sad is that the coffee is not good and gives headache and we are in the country of good coffee.

Had coffee and pastries here. Wasn't the greatest on either front, and was very overpriced, but then that is what you expect from airport eating establishments.

Interestingly all the restaurants were selling bottled water at the same price (€3.95). Best to save your money and buy from the vending machines. Far cheaper at only €1.20 a bottle.

Bad service - just paid over 20 euros on food and coffee for the family. I asked if they could fill my toddlers sippy cup with tap water but he said it was out of order, which I struggle to believe is true. It’s such a small ask after spending so much, for a baby too! He was so grumpy. Bad service for what we paid

Poor quality, bitter, burnt flavour coffee and the milk was scalded. The pastries are decent but I'd recommend going to Costa next door for coffee instead (and I'm not someone who would usually recommend chain coffee shops 😆)

I know it's in an airport, so I do expect to pay a bit more, but really?? €7.20 for a prepacked takeaway sandwich? It wasn't a bad sandwich, but it falls well short of the term artisan that's used in store to advertise it, and it falls well short of €7.20 on quality.
