Really nice, local canteen. Pure Portuguese cuisine. Totally recommend! Daily menu has soup, three main dishes to choose from and several types of desserts. Open only on weekdays

Basic, but good food and very, very cheap! Nice view from the terrace.

I don't leave reviews very often, but this place has to be truly the hidden gem of Lisboa. This cantina is run by religious catholics and seems to operate on a non profit basis. Amazing food, amazing view.

Menu changes on weekly/daily basis.

Only cash or Portuguese debit cards

A little hard to find: when you’re at the street, look for the door with the “1” number at the top. Climb the stairs to the top till you see a white door to the left (usually closed). Go through the door and you’re here.

They have a set lunch menu with what seems to be 2 options for the main dish. Everything is in Portuguese but there’s usually a line and you just have to follow the person in front of you! It’s self-service and you get your tray, food etc and then pay at the cashier. I got the lunch set with soup and a small beer for €7.50, and it tasted great!

Tip: they have an open air terrace with amazing views. Near the cashier there’s a door that leads outside, I missed it while I was there and sat indoors instead. Also remember to return your tray after you’re done!

Simple, traditional Portuguese food!!!
Available Mondays through Fridays are a meat, a fish and a vegetarian dish to choose from (soup, dessert, drinks and coffee are all optional).
Check out their terrace for a more glamorous experience.
Super kind, efficient and thoughtful staff all add to this great hidden gem.

Had an excellent lunch. Tasty, simple, local food with affordable prices as it is run by a charity association. The terrace had amazing views. Lunch menu (main dish + soup or dessert) was 6.5 euros

It's an autentic portuges cantina with an amazing view 🤩. Local food with self service with very good prices (meal 5,90€, red vine 1,30€). It like a hidden gem. You should try 👌

An gem hidden off a side street. You'll be fooled by the lack of signage, but take the middle green door up several fights of stairs until you hit the bright-blue tables & rooftop view of the river. Tasty & affordable lunch. Pictured (gazpacho & the daily plate, which in my case was fried fish, rice, & salade) was only 6.50€.

The cafeteria is located on the last flore of building. There's no indication but enter the building and go upstairs! It's manage by a Catholic association. Very nice view of Tage river, nice food (portugal's specialities, bacalhau) for cheap (17€ for 2 personns...). The menu is changing every day. Enjoy there!

Lunch not served until 12nn. We arrived a bit early Thursday lunch time so we got the best tables outside with the view. You'll have to buzz yourself in if the door is still closed. It's self service cafeteria style with amazingly low prices. A litre of sangria costs €5. I got their menu set with soup, fish and bread for €6.5. Not to mention the views are amazing.

Amazing spot with a grand food hall and a spectacular view of the e Tejo, cantina vibes with original Portuguese flavors for a reasonable price and a beautiful history. Worth a visit!

Simply fantastic. Two options (meat and veggie) both great. You can get the combo meal that includes dessert and a coffee. The prices are unbeatable. The terrace is amazing, come here on a sunny day and you’ll be in heaven

Hidden gem for sure. The terrace views are stunning. I didn't eat there but instead got some cheese and cider in the afternoon. Spent two hours stating at the horizon undisturbed. The spot has no signboard downstairs but keep at it, and refer to the pics of the outside door posted on other reviews. The food looked fresh and priced supremely well!

This is a hidden gem and I mean literally! Was recommended by a local and while the google maps takes you right to the door step. There is no sign/ board and the building looks residential hence it can be confusing. Please do persist - you are in the right place and it on the 5th floor. It's a buffet ( 7.5 euro) and don't go by the looks - it's delicious! But you have still not discovered the best - step onto the tiny balcony which opens to a beautiful terrace which overlooks the red tiled roofs of Lisbon and offers the fantastic view of the the river ( Tagus) and the bridge!

One of the most HIDDEN hidden gems and I can't say enough about it!

This small canteen, with no external signs, gave us one of our best dining experiences in Lisbon. We felt like it was another world, and we were able to eat ROOFTOP DINING for peanuts on the dollar!

I loved the rice so much that I got seconds, and I heard that all the proceeds go to charity as this is a Catholic church run establishment, which makes that doubly cool. Must visit!

A hidden gem of Lisbon! Nearly couldn't find it but realised pretty quickly it was inside a building. It's on the third floor with exquisite views over the city and river. Food is also really affordable and tasty!
