Café No Chiado

This restaurant was recommended to me by the staff of the hotel Chiado 44. So I went there on my first evening in Lisbon and it was great! I had the bread with butter and dips and then the octopus which was very juicy. The staff was very friendly and I also got a tawny port wine at the end. Thank you ❤

I would highly recommend this cute and romantic restaurant in Lisbon’s city centre.
Food was absolutely amazing, staff was friendly and welcoming and the vibe was perfect for a romantic yet relaxed atmosphere.

Chose this restaurant based on reviews and the proximity to our hotel. Wasn't disappointed. Staff were extremely helpful and attentive, spoken English was very good. The food was delicious and we had a wonderful experience. Would certainly return next time in Lisbon.

Lovely atmosphere in a small and calm street just off the busy area of Chiado.
The food is delicious and well presented, perfect for any instagram post!
I’d recommend sitting outside in the summer and watching walkers by.

The staff were incredibly patient with my language barrier and provided the best possible service throughout the evening. The Bacalhau croquettes and Azeitão cheese were superb choices, and were supremely complimented by the bread basket with pâté. I went with the staff’s recommendations on wine by the glass and was pleasantly surprised. Hands down a lovely experience

Came across while looking for another restaurant. I'm so glad this one caught our eye instead. Service was above par and the food was delicious (the kind of meal you talk about for months to come). I had the mussels as a starter and salmon for dinner paired with the house red - Portuguese wine is fantastic if you've never had some. The ambiance was quiet and romantic. indoor and outdoor seating.

Even though you are in a busy section of town it's a quiet little street celebrating its own peaceful and relaxing setting. The yellow tram rambles by and the outdoor terrace is an oasis of charm. Nice food and menu; hot rolls. Very kind staff. A definite go to for lunch or dinner. One of our faves.

From the outside you'd think it's just another mediocre restaurant, but it's definitely worth the visit , it's a little pricey $$$ but you don't regret it

We ordered the cheese board to start, which was a lovely - lots of delicious cheeses on the board. I then had the ribs for my main, which were quite possibly the best ribs I've ever eaten. The meat was so tender that it fell off the bone. My partner ordered the duck which was equally as good. We shared the chocolate mouse for dessert which was a lovely way to end the meal.
The staff were amazing and incredibly attentive. This was easily our best meal during our visit to Lisbon. Fantastic place to visit!! ​

This was the first place we ate at in Portugal and stayed in our first place for the best meal we had our whole trip. I had shrimpy curry and it was delightful, light and sweet and fresh. He had the beef cheek and is still talking about it. We had our first taste of vino verde and we got free glasses of port thanks to our hotel (chiado44). The restaurant itself is lovely, we sat on the patio overlooking a square in front of the theatre. The bells rang in a church tower directly across from us. The 28tram went by a few times. Superb experience

Nice place, great surroundings. Great spot to just sit and sip for few minutes.

Wonderful Portuguese food. We had the lunch plate of the day, and it was delicious and reasonably priced. We wouldn't have known about it because we were given an English menu, but when we asked, it was explained. Excellent service.

Great, professional service and amazing food. We always visit here when we’re in Lisbon and sit on the balcony. Try the steak in mustard sauce, it’s delicious!
