I was craving some good Schnitzel and I couldn’t be happier. The food was great, both the main plates and desserts we picked, it had a taste of home. The service was quick and the staff explained the difference between the plates. Be aware that the portions are huge, I had a half portion and I couldn’t finish it! Definitely worth it!

Great selection of delicious cakes, tasty coffee - an alternative to Portuguese style (and flavour). Super nice staff, very quick and efficient. Gets busy during lunch time.

The food here is incredible! It's tough to find authentic German food in the states, so I was skeptical of finding something in Lisbon, but I must say, Kaffeehaus does a great job! Although it's primarily a daytime cafe with lots of coffee and snack options, you can definitely have a substantial dinner here. With multiple schnitzel options, sausage, German beers, and lots of desserts to choose from, I'll have to make some return visits to try it all! The standard pork schnitzel was delicious and the Käsekrainer was one of the best I've had in a long time. Everything was seasoned beautifully and fried so it was crispy on the outside but tender on the inside. The only thing that disappointed us a bit was the service, which could have been a little friendlier or more helpful, but I'll chalk that up to a rough day. Otherwise, great spot to sip a coffee or down an Austrian beer. Prost!

Came here by chance. Somewhat distanced of the mainstreets. Quality is much better than what they offer you in the more touristic streets. Prices are very reasonable. So I can recommend everyone to pay them a visit.

Have been eating here for years and the food just gets better and better. I recommend the schnitzel with potato wedges/fries. Also greatly recommend the Raspberry Lemonade! Great place to draw, read and work while eating!

Pleasant experience.
We had the big portion of schnitzel which was 14.2€ and it was delicious and filling. You can get smaller portion for 11.9€.

For what it is … this place was a welcome break from all the traditional “portuguese cuisine” … lots of flava, coffee selection is remiss of our travels to Vienna and a range of options to break away from the boiled meats, beans and fish. Loved the goulash with its mild spiciness, the ”schnitzel” with bacon and the strudel with custard!

I‘m from Germany so I did not have high expectations on the food but it was very delicious!! The person I was there with is from Austria and the restaurant reminded him very much of his favorite cafe in Vienna. Food was delicious, stuff was extremely friendly, and overall it had a good price-quality ratio. Can Definetly recommend especially when you are looking for German/Austrian food in Lisbon. It would have been even better if they had „Kaiserschmarrn“ as a dessert.

This place is great for brunch. Their coffee is great and they have a lot of German options. However we decided to eat the scrambled eggs wrap, which came with these potatoes that were delicious. Finally, we had the scrambled eggs with pesto which were wonderful.

The service was good as well.

Because not everything is Pastéis de Belém, if you are in Lisbon, you have a mandatory stop at Kaffeehaus to try some delicious Viennese dishes.

Service was good and the food was really delicious. We waited a little bit for a table outside but totally worth it. The prices are also pretty decent and the food portion was just enough. You guys should totally give it a chance.

Nice place for a slight change of pace cuisine-wise while in Lisbon. Good house red, excellent Wienerschnitzel, with option for smaller portion at reduced price.

Great coffee place, but also delicious for food! We went back almost every day during our stay in Lisbon. Highly recommend the Kaffee Mélange, the Vital Brunch and the cereal with fruits. But also salad and Apfelstrudel were very good.

Great place, friendly staff, tasty food and they even allow dogs 🐶 (we were given a water bowl, thanks!)

as a German, I can confirm that the food is very authentic! the service is very attentive and kind and the atmosphere puts you in a vintage, austria setting!

Been there a couple of times and always appreciate the consistency of the service and the quality of the dishes. Their schnitzel is just heavenly and very well served. One of the best outside seating areas of the city in my opinion. Great place to wind down in one of the busiest touristic areas of the city.

It´s so nice to have a restaurant like Kaffeehaus in town. It is always there for us. Quality of sausage and fresh beer are always consistent. Super reliable and no frills. We love it.
