Super fresh seafood. We were there 2 times, had clams, big crab, razor clams, oysters, octopus salad, boiled shrimp, shrimp soup and everything was delicious. It felt quite local to eat there; the price is reasonable too. Highly recommended!

If you are into seafood, you absolutely have to come here when in Lisbon! It’s a very typical Portuguese seafood restaurant with really really good food, we tried our way through the Menu and everything we had was great. We tried all of the different clams and mussels and the sauces were all incredible. The garlic shrimp were amazing (you have to be a garlic fan though) and the giant tiger prawns are an absolute must in my opinion. The butter bread on the side to soak up the sauces is also just a simple but delicious bonus! The wine and beer was just a perfect combo for all the delicious seafood!

Great meal. Very friendly and helpful staff who coped admirably with our lack of Portuguese. It's brightly lit, TVs showing football and lots of locals...but a great atmosphere nonetheless. The clams with garlic and coriander were delicious and the tiger prawns massive and perfectly cooked . Goose Barnacles look like a food from Star Wars but were very nice!

Really impressed. Excellent price:quality relationship. The food was excellent. Fresh and well prepared. Service was good and friendly. Need to be mindful of what one orders as some seafood is expensive (albeit worth it). The wine list I saw was limited, but choices and prices (i.e., the price range). Definitely made the list of restaurants to go to on a regular basis.

What stands out the most for this place is a highly friendly and welcoming service. Kudos to all the staff working there. They took time to explain the menu and were attentive to make our experience a good one. During dinner, you get to see the locals hanging out chatting at the bar which is pretty cool. My favourite dish is the fried garlic shrimp. Would love to come back again.

Fresh, fresh, fresh ! The seafood here is great. Definitely a go to restaurant if you are looking for seafood in Lisbon. The service was good. The price was alittle pricey but worth it. Definitely will return. Be prepared to wait on line in evening during dinner time. But definitely worth it.

Great place not fancy and been there since 1973. Not the best service at first but once you understand how busy they are then is ok. We had our waiter every time and had flawless service. We went back 3 times this trip. No frills or fancy marketing just plain fresh and good seafood. If you are into prawns they have the gigantic tiger prawns full of roe which are great grilled but if you love the even further stronger bolder flavor try the gigantic carabineros (red prawns) recommended. If you love crab try the zapatero crab just cooked cold and they crack it for you which is a big part of the work or you can have the shell that us no work but it is mixed with the roe which i love but is not for everyone. Then if you want to try something special try percebes or barnicles. But now that we are in summer time you must get at least 200 grams of shrimp from algarve steamed with sea salt, only have to peel and the head has all the flavor. Never have tried such sweet savory and fresh taste of the sea. There are other things to eat which we tried the steak and fries and the fries are addictive as i think fried in peanut oil. Also now bogavantes ( live lobster with claws @50€ per kilo or 2.2 pounds is a good deal) All for all there are lots of stuff to try and eat. For dessert ask for the house made crème brûlée not the normal one is an insider’s thing. All you need is a healthy appetite, cholesterol and gout pills (LOL) and order a couple of glasses of sangria (1.6€) which is a deal. Come early as there are linea during peak hours. BTW stays open late…!!!

The service was very good and the food was superb! Especially oyster and big crab. The waiting told us what is recommended and we are happy for what we ordered. He was honest about the portion and price when we ask him. Just don’t afraid to ask if you are unsure !

We discovered this place after finding that Ramiro’s was closed due to a holiday and what a great discovery this was! It is only 4 minutes up the street and offers everything that Ramiro’s does and is definitely a more local spot. Some of the best seafood I’ve ever had in my life - everything was delicious and served attentively. We didn’t know the difference between all the various local crustaceans so the waiter brought them to the table and showed us what is what which was really helpful.

I dare say the best place to eat fresh sea food in Lisbon! Very welcoming, I had to visit after my first visit in 2018! The servers are really awesome

The food was really delicious!
We waited for around 15 mins which is definitely okay for the quality we had, the waiter will usually take ur name and you just wait for call back.
We were three and ordered 12 oysters, one big crab (which is ard 0.5 kg) and a knifed clams with sauce.
First they would serve the free bread, which is slightly warm and buttered. (Really advice you not to finish them as appetisers cuz dipping them in the sauce and spreading them with the crab bury are fabulous)
Then the oysters were really fresh, tiny tiny bit of shells but its totally fine. It is more of a smoother than briny taste, with a hint of seawater saltiness, squeeze some lemon juice to balance it out, perfect for its price. (Ard 18€ per kilo)
The big crab was really fresh as well. We really like the buey, i think they mix it with something to give some extra texture. The crab eat is also very chewy in a good way (QQ for asian readers) it was ard 29.5€ per kilo and our portion was only 12€ so i think they are really honest with the price.
Then the knives clams were super fresh (again) and chewy and with a tint of natural sweetness. the sauce was ( i believe) cilantro, garlic and butter. The consistency is more like a broth than cream so the whole dish was refreshing and it is my personal favourite.
For drinks we ordered sangria and cider, just normal sangria and coder you would get and its pretty cheap (1.6€)
The service was nice!
Would definitely come back again!!
(We overheard some order customers that said the octopus / cod rod salad)
The vibe is also like a neighbourhood lowkey restaurant so really recommend it!

I was referred to this restaurant. I had shrimp frittes (sorry, no picture), grilled fish with potatoes, and Limāo Gelado. You're served bread before meal, which was a nice addition. The food was good and fresh seafood. I enjoyed everything. The service was good as well. No one rushed me, and the server was very attentive. He didn't ask if i wanted to pay, which is an issue for some. It's custom in many European countries to linger after meals to conversate or have a coffee.

If the queue at Ramiro is too big you really won’t regret going here. It’s very large and can do a lot of covers but the staff were helpful and the food plentiful. It’s good that you can order some dishes by the portion rather than just per kg. We saw a number of old men just drop in at the bar order a small plate and a beer and leave.

We randomly picked this restaurant and had a fantastic dinner. They had the fresh seafood via kg and also they had set dishes as well. The service was fantastic and quick. This was one of the two places during our two week stay we got our dish pretty much right after ordering. They definitely don't mind sharing dishes and the bread was fantastic. The dessert selection was nice and reasonably priced as well.

One of the best marisqueira in central Lisbon, more reasonably priced than Ramiro nearby. Very good lively atmosphere with incredible butter toast (torradas) to go with your seafood. Service is not spectacular but efficient. No reservations so just show up early.

Very nice and fresh seafood place. It is a little expensive considering the interior is not particularly neat, but the flavour compensates everything. There are big Misto platters to try everything, but they also offer small portions of €13-15. The beer is also very good and the service is kind. They offer the option of selecting your own crustacean for eating, as they also have fish tanks. The menú is in several languages, although the portugueese one has more dishes than the others, check carefully.

We are tourists from Asia. This place offers great selections of fresh seafood minus the long queue compares to the other place! Big sitting area too. If you order the mix platers, the crabs are from frozen so if you like really fresh crab meat, go for the individual crab from the water tank. We had very large (approx.1.5kgs) hairy crab and (approx.)1.3kgs crawfish lobster and couple small portions of goose barnacles and oyster the total bill was euro179 which we think it's reasonable.
