Slightly different review about Moby's Bar in Monte Gordo.
TripAdvisor says Moby's Bar is in the top 5 establishments in Monte Gordo.If this is your first visit to Monte Gordo please try the bar and I know you won't be disappointed.
The bar is very popular for Sunday Lunch but booking is vital because good news travels.

From my experience you buy a snack at other bars but a Moby's you receive a meal.( You can buy snacks )

Ladies , I nearly forgot to mention , the cocktails are superb and such good value for money.

When I fill in the cost section we are normally in the bar for a 3 hours so the cost is cheap.

At Moby's you are guaranteed a warm welcome, friendly atmosphere and great food. Toni and Karl are great hosts, nothing is too much trouble and they are very helpful with local information etc. Once you've been you can guarantee you'll be back many times. Great for the sport and the food is absolutely delicious, whether it's cheeseburger and chips, a toastie or Sunday Lunch - the roast chicken, pork or steak pie are amazing.

What a great place, warm welcome and friendly service. It's being said in the reviews many times and the people are right. Had fun, great conversations at the bar, an evening where a barfly is looking for !-). Simple and warm at heart, thanks!

This bar has a great family feel about it, most welcoming, nothing is to much trouble,Karl and Toni are a great friendly couple who take time to give every customer a wee bit of personal attention, Toni being a Scottish lass makes a steak pie with all the trimmings to perfection,but you really do need to starve yourself all day because the portions are very generous indeed,
Would definitely recommend anyone from the UK to definitely give it a try whilst in Monte Gordo,

Was made to feel really relaxed ,what a lovely couple Karl and toni are we had a great time with them and they were really good with kids , the Sunday lunch WOW!!!! was to die for all home made , we will definitely be back to see them again, see you shortly shaun and marilyn (BRADFORD)

Visited few times in past week for drinks. Made to feel very welcome and cheap prices. Lovely people with lots of banter and good atmosphere. Would totally recommend if you're in Monte Gordo

Wow, what a lovely little gem moby's bar is and the hosts, Toni & Carl are real stars. Nothing is too much trouble, great banter and just lovely, lovely people. Toni cooks a fab roast dinner, got to have one if you can. Here in portugal to play rugby and stumbled across this wee hidden gem, felt at home. The owners are amazing with quality banter who’ve shown me and the boys nothing but kindness. Will definitely be coming back here in the future I’d give them 10 stars if I could.

Very friendly staff. Only had lunch once. Attracts couples who keep going back year after year. Says it all, a great wee bar

We fell in love with this bar.
Both Tony and Call are very friendly and welcoming people and they can really make you feel at home.
We kept joining them for every single night during our 10 day stay in Monte Gordo.

Watching champions league semi final. Pub run out of beer at half time. Landlady pulled some strings to replenish stock. Awesome customer service.

Such a friendly bar, hosts Karl & Toni made us very welcome.Excellent service, watched loads of football, played really good background music, very reasonable drink prices & Sunday lunch,€10 was absolutely delicious! Other food available too. We had such a laugh too everytime we visited.
Highly recommended & hope to see you all again.

Moby's Bar is tucked away, just off the sea front, which is Ideal in the heat of the midday sun. The owner, Toni serves a mix of food, all cooked fresh and delicious to taste. She will cater for vegetarians and celiacs and with notice, will get in any food you require.

As we were new to the area, Toni also had a great deal of local knowledge and pointed us in the direction of a number of local sites.

Great atmosphere, tasty food, brilliant hospitality and good value for money in the hidden, unobtrusive gem.

Lovely bar and a good way to finish an evening in Monte Gordo

The food is really good, hot tasty and freshly made. Beer has crisp and clean flavours. Proprietor can not do enough to make your visit a wonderful experience

My partner and I were in Monte Gordo two weeks ago, obviously a very quiet time due to the pandemic.
We found Moby's Bar after a Google search and it was a five minute walk from our hotel.
Moby's Bar couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming to us. Nothing was too much trouble and they were happy to serve.
We had a lovely steak dinner and chicken salad one night, this had to be preordered due to pandemic circumstances, but we were so grateful as it felt like they really made an effort, which they didn't have to do. My partner has some allergies regarding food which can be quite complicated at some places, but Moby's took the time to work out exactly what she could have. Both our meals were delicious.
We dropped in to the bar a few times during our stay and every time was a pleasure, often getting tips on places to go and useful information on the local area.
