Hotel Quinta do Lago

Love this hotel. Lovely friendly staff from arriving to leaving. Gorgeous rooms with lovely views.

The staff are the backbone of this hotel; attentive, cheerful and willing to go the extra mile.
The setting is superb and the beach and pool of an excellent standard. However, the rooms are a little dated.
The location is pretty much ideal with shopping a short taxi ride away and an array of excellent restaurants.

My wife booked this break with British Airways as my birthday present and whilst we did have a few issues with the booking due to it being 2 adults, 1 child and 1 infant, with rooms being a maximum of 3 people, it was all sorted for us on arrival.

The hotel did not disappoint being welcomed by lovely staff, that stayed lovely throughout the stay.

Our room was very spacious despite it being the bottom option and felt the room felt very luxurious. The bed itself was so comfortable with soft mattress and lovely feeling duvets.

Breakfast was a delight, again the staff made us feel very welcome, even though we had children. We didn’t feel looked upon, like we have done in other luxury 5-star hotels.

The grounds are perfect and you can walk down the front to the lagoon and there is a play area for the children.

Pool was amazing with both an adults section and a warm one kids.

An amazing location with a beautiful scenic garden, quick access to the beach and great walkway. The pool has a nice outdoor and indoor pool, gym, spa, outside bistro, bar and great Restaurant! Service is friendly, helpful and very accommodating. The dedicated beach loungers and Airport shuttle are a great convenience.

Had a flawless stay here with 2 young children. Staff and service level is second to none. There is a well struck balance between being friendly and professional at the same time. None mentioned - none forgotten. Thank you.

The hotel itself is not top modern, there is a well maintained patina which is something I appreciate. F&B have high quality, cooked to perfection - and 5 star prices.

A really good hotel and resort. The one thing that is not quite up to the rest is the restaurant in the evening as it is unnecessarily chaotic.

This is a very good hotel, the services are relatively good, staffs are friendly and helpful. The surrounding environment is very suitable for relaxation. During the stay, we arranged a dinner for 33 friends with catering service provided by a Japanese Sushi restaurant in Faro, the idea and arrangements were all done by the Hotel, we thank Sales&Marketing Director Marta especially as we all enjoyed the food and services.

Great hotel with 20 minute walk to the beach. The rooms are spacious with very comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. The bar and pool staff is very pleasant and accommodating. Even when we were ordering food and drinks very late at night to the bar and/or rooms. In terms of food, the breakfast bar has a very good spread with fruit, yoghurts, hot breakfast, pastries and omelettes to order to choose from. Some bubbles are also on offer for those that need the hair of the dog. I would recommend fish tacos from the bar food. We have not eaten dinner at the hotel restaurant as there are plenty of nice bars and restaurants within a short drive. The hotel is surrounded by golf courses, beaches and beautiful villas. Wonderful area with plenty to do for couples, groups and families.

Fantastic resort! Everything about it is superb. The appartments are immaculate. The recent upgrade of the main hotel facilities are very stylish. The food is excellent! Well done Chef! All of the staff, across the resort are friendly & welcoming. Nothing is a problem & is sorted with a smile! I love this place! Home from home!

The pictures don't do this hotel justice. It's not the most modern to look at and the rooms could do with a bit of superficial modernising. That being said, the rooms are very well maintained and in perfect condition. All the staff were very pleasant and attentive, especially at breakfast, around the pool and during the evening meals. We are foodies and were very happy with the quality and variety of food on offer. We had a different bottle of wine each night and a few glasses of the house white during the afternoon and they couldn't have been nicer. No nasty cheap wines here. The pool was nice and there was always plenty of sunbeds (in July). If you like spending most of your time at the beach then this place may not be for you. There is a tidal nature reserve between the hotel and the beach so you have at least a 10/15 min stroll from the hotel. All the Quinta do Lago golf courses are around 5 mins drive away and the hotel will drive you there and pick you up free of charge. We will be back.

Everything was great, we had a really good time here. A little far from the marina and there's a long walk to the beach. Wish the gym was a little newer and bigger.
The views are excellent and breakfast is great! Would definitely stay again.

This charming home was perfect in every way for our family of 4. All amenities we needed were at our fingertips, and the check-in process was seamless. Professionally managed every step of the way. This home is in the perfect location for our needs and where we were intending to go each day."

Looked after us superbly. The course was in very good condition and pace of play was an acceptable 4h15m for a 4ball. The ranger and buggy girl came to greet us every 6 holes too.
Look forward to playing the north course again very soon.

Quinta do Lago is one of my favourite places to visit. Superb golf courses, sports facilities and places to eat, drink and stay. The Shack and Kokos are my personal favourites. Great family friendly restaurants with activities for the kids.

As posh as it gets in the Algarve.
Exclusive and expensive.
Superbly landscaped and kept.
Michelin stars awarded restaurants, luxurious golf courses, sailing, horseback riding, tennis clubs...
Just be prepared for the final check!

The most stunningly successful golf and holiday destination....Denis O'Brien has created a world class resort. He has upgraded Casa Do Lago, and has created Dano's, That Shack and has apparently bought Gigi's...Dano's is perfect for a casual lunch or dinner...great food, perfect design and really wonderful service. Hat's off!!

We go to this hotel every year since 2005. Unbeatable on every level.

Great place to unwind with stuff to do for everyone from kids to grown ups. My son and I were there over Easter and he had a blast. A golfer's paradise
