The Natural Meat Co.

Visited this Almancil butcher this afternoon and mentioned that I have been looking for a decent vendor in the Algarve after many disappointments, and was told that I had found the right spot. I was informed about the environmental credentials of the meat sourcing, but was a little suspicious that most was frozen (even the fresh meat had been defrosted). However, I needn't have worried. I selected a prime frozen rib-eye beef cut as a tester and defrosted as soon as I got home and barbecued in the evening. It was succulent, tasty, well marbled and very tender. Spot on! Of course, you can be lucky with meat cuts, but I will definitely be back and hopefully I have now found a regular local butcher.

Wonderful Uruguai and Argentinian meat. Lovely wine selection. Thanks guys.

Prima vlees en wijn. Probeer ook vooral de wijn uit Uruguay. Niet goedkoop maar wel formidabel.

Good meat. A lot is frozen.

Auf Grund der guten Bewertungen gestern da gewesen. Wir waren die einzigen im Laden, wir wurden begrüßt und dann alleine gelassen. Keine Beratung, keine Hilfe. Es gibt Rind und Lamm. Sehr viel tiefgefroren. Die Auswahl von Fleisch und Wein ist ok. Der Service quasi nicht vorhanden.
