Martin's E-Bike

We called in to Martins E-Bikes to enquire about the purchase of a couple of machines.

The chap we spoke to spent a good deal of time with us to understand what we wanted to use them for, our own fitness and condition etc and then suggested we rent some bikes to try before making a decision to purchase.
We left with a rental bike each and spent the next couple of days very happily enjoying them, traveling further than we expected and keeping the smile even in the rain.

It was time well spent and good advice from Martins we had a better idea of what we did, and did not want out of the bikes.

Rentals returned and a further discussion, no pressure at all and what seemed pretty objective advice . We ordered two bikes, quite different from the rentals ( which were great) , paying a deposit and after a few weeks returned to collect our new steeds.

More good and free advice about safety and sensible gear , the bikes set up and adapted to our sizes , battery charging advice and the necessary warranty and connection to accessories etc - glad we didn’t have to navigate this without such good advice and assistance!.

Like kids at Christmas we had to ride as soon as we got home..

Would highly recommend this place for bikes. Staff are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. Top class service. They even opened early for me to collect my bike as I needed to be somewhere at 9am, so so helpful.

Absolutely world-class customer service! I went here because the bike shop closer to my apartment in Almancil was closed, and I regret nothing! From now on I will go here every time I need something bike related. They were in the middle of expanding their shop but they still found the time to give me great service and I left the place feeling really good! A lot of shops here in Portugal can learn from this level of service.

Excellent service, almost new road bike hired for 2 weeks. No problems. They didn't mind at all that I changed my plans a couple of times.

At first i was a bit sceptical about ebikes, since i always had a conviction that a e bike does almost all the job for you, and it’s not! It gives you the right push you’ll need when you are climbing steep tracks without losing your speed. Also helps in starts and bring you back on track quickly. After a reaching 25kmh you are on your own! It was a great surprise reaching 30kmh so quickly on a trail! Thank you so much for the opportunity and to change my mind! I would definitely recommend renting a bike and head over to Ria Formosa!

We had previously owned Dahon folding bikes & had used them extensively - the folding feature allowing us to take them on touring holidays & on our boat.
Then having 2 prosthetic knees I found riding a bicycle difficult - my knees were too stiff to complete the motion without pain.
A cyclist friend suggested trying an e-bike.
We visited Martin’s E-bikes & explained my problem.
A Victoria E-bike was set for me. I rode around their car park & adjustments made.

It was a revelation! Freedom to cycle out again - with the high handle bar position, backward adjusted saddle plus the use of the motor I could tackle hills again. My bike was purchased & Paul’s ordered. ( a 3 month delivery delay!!!)

It was so good I often forgot my poor hubby who was straggling behind me on his 21 gear mountain bike while I wizzed up hills.
Well, today Paul’s bike arrived. Hooray. 😊😊😊. We celebrated with a tour around the area.

We have 2 smart bags (with wheels) so we can fold down the bikes & put them into the car as well as using them around the local area.
As far as we are concerned- a terrific investment & worth every cent.

Martin's done an outstanding job of rewiring my ebike without the help of a wiring diagram.I carelessly ripped every wire of the bike while folding it. I don't think anyone else could of repaired the mess I gave them. I would thoroughly recommend them.

My ebike charger packed up whilst away on holiday in Spain & Portugal. Martin's E-Bike was recommended to me and I was nearby. Their staff were very helpful online but ultimately I needed to drop by them. My charger was an older model and they tried a number of options. Eventually the only option available to "take away" on the day was a new charger but with a slightly lower output voltage. A bit risky but we tried it in the shop as I had my battery with me and it seemed OK. Sure enough it works fine. Takes a little longer to charge but I can live with that. I use the bike a lot so it was great to have it sorted. Brilliant service.

Amazing customer service. I bought my HAIBIKE EMTB from this store and they have serviced and repaired it ever since 2021. Nothing is too much trouble they will pick up and drop off and the quality of service is exceptional. Would recommend to buy rent or service and repair. The staff are knowledgeable and very helpful 🚴‍♀

We had a fantastic afternoon at Martin's E-Bike test riding several of their cool models. Daniel was an absolute wealth of information about all the various bike configurations and helped us zero in on the best model for our needs. Highly recommended.

Fantastic service!
My hubby bought me an e-bike for Christmas, the customer service was awesome, he got an email then a call after he ordered telling us it was being delivered the next day! When it arrived the guy was so helpful, explaining everything, but it turned out the bike was too big for me, so I was invited to visit the shop, where I tried out 3 other bikes (we really should have done that in the first place!) The staff were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable! Nothing was too much trouble and it was really worth trying the different bikes as there was quite big differences.
I finally chose a different one, and as promised, the new one was delivered just a couple of days later, fully charged and ready to go!!!

Hired a bike for three days from Martin's. I can not praise them enough. The ordinary touring bike was superb, in excellent working order and at a very reasonable price. But it was the customer service and helpful staff which was outstanding. If ever I need a bike again whilst visiting the Algarve there is only one place I would go, Martin's E-Bikes.

We've bought my dad's new electric bike there and received excellent service. The delivery was really quick. My dad loves his new bike and was well advised. The prices were competitive and we will definitely be back.

I had a very pleasent experience with Martin’s ebike. The rental service is very convient as they bring and pick up the bikes at your place of résidence. The bikes are of a great quality with everything you need (helmet, lock and spare tire). I did 100km from Almacil to Lagos.

Rented a few E-bikes recently, I was very pleased with the quality of the bikes. I am also very pleased with the staff, very friendly and they have a lot of knowledge about the bikes. All in all, definitely recommended.

I was there today for a bike check and two other issues. The team was supernice, the work was done very professionally in an optimal timeframe at a very reasonable price - my five star rating applies for every single category.

My e-bike kept switching off after about half a kilometer of use. I could not figure out what was wrong with it, took it into Martins on Monday he said no problem. Wednesday morning got a message “bike fixed “ excellent I was chuffed to rock cakes. Very reasonable price as well. Any problem in the future I know where to go. Many thanks to you and your team. Great service, whole range of top bikes in all different price ranges. Staff always super friendly and patient after my multiple visits to the shop before I finally decided ;) Knowledgable, friendly and patient! Got a fantastic Ebike now with dog basket ! :)
