MUST GIVE IT A TRY!!!!

One of the best places for dinner in Faro the creativity of each course is in another level. Each dish has a story and it will take you through a journey.

Each dish has flavours which is will make you feel impressed 😮.

Parking was easy on the spot.

Service was top 🔺 from first dishes to the end.

Thanks for amazing experience.

Recommended by Michelin guide. The tasting menu with pairing wine was certainly a treat with local (Portugal) products and an inventive cuisine threaded with a storytelling experience from start to finish.
Excellent service. This establishment should deserve a Michelin Bib.

Everything about this restaurant is wonderful! My husband and I enjoyed the 9 course seafood tasting menu option. The food was all plated beautifully and tasted delicious. We also enjoyed hearing how each dish is connected to a tale of the Algarve. Our server Nilton made great wine pairing suggestions. Overall this was 100% a 5/5 fine dining experience, and the restaurant deserves a Michelin star!

Undeniably excellent. The food is stunning and made with so much love and attention to detail. Every bite was incredible. Congrats to the chefs. The service was fantastic - quite sales focused, but apart from that, friendly and informative! The only thing I felt was that, at €45 for the Beef Wellington, it would have been nice to have something on the side like vegetables etc. but, it was still spectacular. Definitely for a special occasion!

Absolutely perfect. The ambience was very smart and comfortable, the service and staff were elegant and attentive, and the food was just outstanding. We took the 10 course degustation with matching wines. Absolutely stunning, from the presentation till the way the chef plays with tastes and the specific wines they choose for each theme. Its like going to a museum where you eat the art, and the art is fantastic! ❤🥰

Amazing restaurant. Great flavours and inventive combinations. The Xarem was a touch off balance, but everything else was superb. They deserve a Michelin *

I enjoy solo travel and trying fancy food

I was welcomed warmly by the staff and seated opposite the kitchen, a great view watching the chefs prepare each course! I attended alone on my solo trip to Faro and felt very comfortable, Alameda by no means feels pretentious despite how Fine the menu appears.
I got to chat to the members of waiting staff as they delivered each of course from the 7 moments menu, they also took the time to explain each dish and give the stories behind them too. A very nice touch.
Each course was beautifully presented, and tasted delicious! My favourite had to be the quail piri piri.
A great atmosphere the whole evening, I would highly recommend if you enjoy fine dining and want to experience incredibly fresh local ingredients and be WOWed

Overall; highly recommend.

Ah, Faro, a place that I had the pleasure of visiting for just a single day. And as any culinary adventurer would, I embarked on a quest to find a remarkable spot for dinner. That's when fate led me to a hidden gem known as Alameda. This enchanting establishment embraced the essence of modern Portuguese cuisine, leaving me intrigued and eager to indulge.

Without hesitation, my partner and I opted for the illustrious 7 moments menu. With each dish that graced our table, it became evident that we had stumbled upon a culinary masterpiece. The artistry in crafting these plates was simply awe-inspiring, showcasing an impressive fusion of flavors and textures. From quail to sea food, one could say that each dish was a captivating symphony for the senses.

Not only were the creations visually stunning, but the price tag was also surprisingly reasonable. In our quest to enhance the experience, we wisely decided to complement our experience with a carefully selected bottle of wine, cleansing our palates between each exquisite course. Reflecting on our experience, I must admit that the 10 moment menu would have been excessive for our appetites, but for those with a hearty hunger, it might just be the perfect indulgence.

To my delight, the cherry on top of this gastronomic adventure was the staff at Alameda. They embodied warmth and hospitality, their knowledge about the food and wine enriching our culinary journey. Their friendly demeanor made us feel right at home, as if we were old friends sharing a meal together.

Should you find yourself in the vicinity, I wholeheartedly recommend venturing to Alameda. Immerse yourself in the wonders of modern cuisine, allow your taste buds to be captivated by the symphony of flavors, and bask in the warmth of the staff's hospitality. This is an experience not to be missed, an oasis of culinary delight awaiting your arrival.

This is a small restaurant with limited indoor seating. There is outdoor heated seating but I thought last night would have been a bit cool to have a 9 course meal. This is a Michelin recognised restaurant.

Fortunately we had a cozy table indoors as we made the booking a couple of days earlier. The service is very attentive. Wine prices are expensive for Portugal.

My wife and I had Ala Carte as we tired after a long travel day. However it appeared all other customers had the fixed menu and it looked amazing. The covert, the bread, seems expensive, but it is outstanding and serves two. I ordered the oysters which were the best oysters I've had in two years living in Portugal. I could have rated a double order. My wife had a carbonara with skate fish and seaweed, which was exceptional, a beautiful dish.

My wife had the fish of the day, monkfish, perfectly done. I had the beef wellington with wine reduction butter sauce, which were also perfectly done. The mains are huge, really sharing plates. My wife could not finish her dish. I had two fillets of beef, an obscene amount. My surprise is that the mushroom coating around my beef was too much, and it was very salty. I imagine the salt content was simply an error on the night, and I personally like salt.

The dessert was not good, we could not finish the one we shared. So I would go back for the oysters, I would try a fixed menu. I don't recommend the beef wellington or ala carte dessert and if you do ala carte then think of sharing the mains. I did enjoy the megrenho honey licor at the very end.

I do think that this chef will be very successful.

I don't really know where to start. This restaurant was a huge surprise because we didn’t expect much and had one of the best dinners in recent years. We chose the vegetarian menu and what we got was an explosion of flavours of different kinds. Always surprising and prepared with an absolute attention to detail. Really fantastic. And on top of that, we were served in a super friendly and professional way by our waiter José (hope I got the name right), who explained each course in detail. What a great experience! Recommendation: don't order a la carte, better go for the menu.

This was absolutely one of the best food experiences during our vacation in Algarve. We cherish the modern approach to the traditional cuisine giving it a spectacular and delicious outcome. The kitchen is open so you can literally see your dish moments in the making. We chose 7 moments for each of us and all of them were amazing. Its hard to tell which one was a winner for us but I would choose between Skate fish and a quail. The wine proposed by our server (which was absolutely great, thank you) offered us a nice wine that paired perfectly with our delicious dinner. Thank you chef Rui Sequeira for an unforgettable journey to the taste of the region and we are looking forward to come back again one day !!

Amazing experience! Going to Alameda is more than just going out for dinner, the experience they give you is wonderful. All staff is amazingly friendly and our waitress explained us all our dishes in detail. We went for the Essencia and vegetarian menu. Both were amazing and definitely worh the money. Will definitely go again once in Faro. Highly recommended.

Delicious beautiful food that can be adjusted to you. I have a few dietary restrictions and it was no problem for the chef to take them on board and still result in amazingly great dishes with colour, smell and taste. The while experience takes time (3-4h) on busy night but it is so worth it and at a very reasonable price (~75€ for the essential menu with wine). Definitely the best experience in Faro.

Leave all your pre-conceived notions at the door. This Michelin star restaurant does not disappoint. The food is layered and excitingly unexpected.

This type of restaurant is a force of nature that you have to just let happen. I don't recommend that you try to control the menu - let the unexpected happen - try new things you think you would not like + Lean in - and enjoy every moment. You will not be disappointed.

What a restaurant! I was blown away by the quality of the food and the fantastic service. The fact that with a small menu they were able to easily cater to a vegan and gluten-free diet really made the evening special. Thank you for a blissful experience.

The staff was so friendly and nice! The food was good, the oysters and the duck bao were very tasty and definitely my favourite. For the mains, the cod fish didn’t really feel like it had a Portuguese touch but the piglet was super good. Recommend! Also, heated outdoor area and make sure to book in advance

Great dinner, Faro's most sophisticated restaurant. We had the marinated Oysters and chicken croquettes which were both amazing, then the cod fish and suckling pig, couldn't have been happier. Wine list was large and local, the manager Andre was very knowledgeable and could advise us expertly. Thanks for a wonderful evening!
