Pastelaria Coelho

The food was delightful, and the restaurant exuded a fantastic atmosphere with friendly staff. Our enjoyment extended to the amusing interaction with an elderly lady trying to process our payment, inputting the details into the computer a few times, which added a touch of humor to the experience.

What a great time.
When you don't know Portuguese and you hear the locals chilling there and saying (from the little you understand) how come the tourist is here, and chatting each other you know that you are in the right place.
Excellent food, great service and most importantly polite and smiles.

Stumbled on this place by accident. Went in for coffee and then saw the lunches locals were having. I had the picanha and it was excellent. House red very drinkable. Lovely service

Local gem that is definitely worth visiting. Very tasty pastels. Very tasty snack when paired with a cup of espresso! Also, I must highlight that the service was extremely kind, which made the visit superb :)

Great place with not expensive prices and delicious food!

MY travel companions and I had a wonderful experience, excellent prices, excellent food and super friendly staff, Telma followed us for two dinners, she was very kind and prepared. highly recommend to all tourists! thank you for everything from the 4 Italian guys!

Fantastic food, friendly staff. There is both a dining room and a garden area in the back. Sadly, I was too full to test the deserts.

Down to earth eatery and bakery 🥯 with a nice courtyard that spreads on both sides of their service areas. Food is good, staff is friendly and helpful and they explain all the local specialties. There is a vegan empanada option that we suspect is actually vegetarian 🌱 but that’s the only thing - wish they would have more vegetarian and vegan options.

Canteen like local spot with many Portuguese people, the chicken toast was just great for breakfast!

I can not recommend this restaurant enough!! The food is incredible, the selection of cakes/desserts is unreal, the staff are absolutely wonderful and it's amazing value for money!

We had a bifana a Coelho (pork sandwich) and a Mirandela sausage. We also had carob cake, and orange cake. Portions were big, delicious, and low priced. Will definitely eat here on our next visit to Faro.

Grilled sea bream was fresh and well priced at 9.90 euros:) would head back. Wide variety available, you could head there for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Mostly locals dine there and the staff doesn’t speak much English, but there is an English menu for tourists.

Really good local place, we went there for dinner, i ordered squid and a jug of sangria—the squid was really delicious, the portion is also super generous and the sangria is really nice and fresh. All at at really affordable price! The staff was also super friendly and helpful (the fact that we didn’t speak portuguese didn’t matter). The dessert was also really good, so make sure you make a space for one! 😉

Had a few savoury pastries and cakes that were delicious with a very cold beer. Hidden gem. The staff was kind and helpful.

Very good dinner for such a low price! We had fried squids and sea brass and both were very nice. Only thing that could be improved (in our opinion) would be a little more veggies and less potatoes but that's of course a matter of taste. All staff were so friendly and spoke English very well :) Definite recommendation!

A pastry and coffee place that changes into a restaurant in the evening.

When I spent five nights in Faro i ate here four of those nights. Why? The food was delicious, the portions where generous and the staff was great.

Very simple and authentic café. Local customers. Nice staff and fresh food. I had sardines (wonderful) fresh salad and a yummy roasted apple in Porto wine! Good quality and good price!

A place to go in Faro. This cafe gradually turns during the day into dinner/bar. Regarding food... big portions and wide selection of meals (beef, pork, fish). I can recommend beef in black pepper sauce. French fries are perfect. Bar has big selection for drinks... I saw at least 5 different gins and 5 different whiskey, wines, beers and more... Service is excellent. Waitresses are very attentive and food comes in good time frame. Location is convenient. You can also buy your grocery there including numerous pastries, cigarettes, snacks etc. What to want more? And best thing is that prices are reasonable.
