Quiet Friday evening in Faro old town. Friendly service, The seafood rice dish is very good.
A bit overpriced compared to other restaurants in Faro serving the same dishes.

Located in the heart of the old town this place is not that easy to find, but once you get there, your heart will stay there forever. Elegant interior of cultural and historical elements, perfectly cooked Portuguese traditional cuisine, good choice of wine and other drinks, pleasant atmosphere and last, but probably most important - wonderful crew. Thank you to everyone who is running this place, for the brief but touching moment of being your guest.

Came in for light lunch and ended up with ordering two deserts all for myself. Food was delicious. My goat cheese salad was really nice. For desert I picked two from traditional desert selection and boy they did not disappoint.

Lovely restaurant with a beautiful indoor and outdoor setting. They also have a bar/rooftop. The food was good and affordable, staff were very friendly too. Would recommend!

We walked up to the old town Faro and came across this restaurant.
The food was delicious and the owner treated us with a smile.
We sat outside to take in the view.
Before we left the owner asked us to go inside to see the history of the building WOW we was so glad we did.
He explained that most of the building was destroyed in the great earthquake that the Algarve suffered in the 17 hundreds .
And a well that's a thousand years old.

Loved this place, one of the best places we've been in years. We had the cataplana, both normal and veggie options and they were both absolutely delicious! Friendly staff, beautiful decor inside with hidden tunnels underneath.

One of the most spectacular places I have been to. We sat for an after lunch coffee and after chatting to the owner/manager (?) he offered to show us the inside of the cafe/house. A super rich history with a well dated from the 1100's +/- and a particular wall that resisted the great Earthquake of 1755.
Anyways, we felt like we went for a coffee and ended up with this extremely rich Portuguese history class. Definitely a must visit if you are in Faro.

This was a great restaurant we stumbled upon when exploring Old Town Faro. The salmon and pomegranate salad was the perfect dish for a lighter lunch - though still quite filling as they give you a decent amount of salmon. It was lovely to sit outside and enjoy the ambiance of being surrounded by the architecture, cobblestones, and even had someone stop by the play the guitar. The service was a bit slow but that has been our experience at most restaurants here. It seems to be connected to staff shortage.

Traditional fish stew is out of this world. You must also check out the interior as this is also amazing.

Beautiful restaurant, friendly staff, great selection of wines, a few vegetarian 🌱 options- their soup is delicious 😋… a lot of deserts , outside side area in one of the most beautiful and historical areas of Faro.

We shared their cataplana, a local dish made with shellfish, cod, tomatoes, potatoes, all in one covered pot served on the table. It was excellent. The house wine was good. Their orange cake is very tasty and pleasant. I complimented their chef as Luis, who provided very cordial and attentive service gave us a tour of their beautiful restaurant. We ate outside because it was 63 in December and we enjoyed the sun. The combination of pleasant welcome, service and good food in a beautiful location made it a wonderful experience after visiting the beautiful Faro cathedral (a must). We will be back

My wife was very happy because couteaux are so hard to get and difficult to prepare well. Delicious.

You can smell the authentic Portuguese seafood stew as you walk down the cobble stone street. Villa Adentro is steeped in Portugal’s history and cuisine. My baked cod with sautéed spinach and garlic was both generous and delicious. Finish lunch with traditional lemon 🍋 meringue pie with a homemade crust and a latte. You can go wrong here. Ask the owner to tell you the history displayed on the tiled walls

Beautiful spot, we ate there twice during our 3 day visit to Faro. Our waiter Luis was such a pleasure, he brought us in around the building and explained the history of it to us. The food was top class. We had a Lobster Cataplana on one of our visits, that alone made it difficult to leave Faro.

It is an amazing place in the old town of Faro..the mood was refreshing and the food was more than delicious. I highly recommend.

Arroz de Mariscal is amazing. Served by the owner. The lobster is delicious. The octopus was tender and sweet. They have outside seats in the shade of ombrellas and view on the square.

Amazing food, great place, service excellent and friendly. They charge for service 2 euros and the cheese and bread 4 euros but they're divine. 100% recommended.

Wonderful food ,great friendly staff we were treated by the owner to a fascinating tour of the history of the building, definitely be back soon

Cataplana was fantastic. Had a great tour on the history and nooks and crannies. Super experience.
