Local food. The owner will treat you so special. There is no push. Nobody at the door is trying to bother you. For a good reason. It's typical Portuguese cousine and it's done the right way!
You will love it! Also it will not break your wallet.

Excellent food, the service was great and was a lot of fun.

The Portuguese Steaks are fantastic.

And a special note to 'the best cheese omelette' we've ever had.

Usually don't give 5 stars for a restaurant especially k in the touristy area of Old Albufeira, but this is my exception. No one outside pestering you too come in for their specials of the day or over-burdening music to corrupt your senses. The ambiance is quaint and effective. The service, albeit singular waiter due to time-of-day (18:00), he say is inside away from the heart and waning sun. A shared appetizer, plus two dinner plates of Sea Bass and Fried Squid was major plus for us. A 1/2 litre of Vinho branco da Casa plus a Coke for my spouse and we walked away satiated and looking for a future visit based on some of the other plates we had seen passing by for other positions. Os Arcos is located in an alley way off from the main square where restaurant chaos exists. Well worth the visit and return.

Fantastic family owned traditional Portuguese restaurant. Os Arcos sits on a cobbled street with a choice of tables outside, allowing you to watch the world go by, or inside in the quaint surroundings. The Fish soup was superb, and both the grilled squid and the spare ribs, were excellent quality and super tasty.
We popped in the next night for amazingly tast garlic prawns to start, followed by T bone steak, and Portuguese black pork.

Stopped in here during the medieval festival and had a hearty meal, same family has been running this restaurant for 45 years! Great host spoke good English very friendly and knowledgeable.

Have walked past this restaurant many times but decided to visit after reading the reviews. We went upstairs to the roof terrace. The service was faultless. The atmosphere was exactly what you want from a good restaurant - no tv screens, well laid tables, fantastic personal service. My wife had the tuna with onions and I had the fillet steak Portuguese style. Both were amazing. You can always tell when food is good as I eat so much slower. All the deserts were homemade- I had the carob, fig tart with ice cream and again it was so so good. We are planning to go back again before our flight back to Luton.

We have dined there several times during our vacation and really enjoyed the food + Sangria😋, service and atmosphere, especially on the terrace🤩

There were 5 of us that dined here for dinner. We ate on the roof top and the atmosphere and whole look of the restaurant was rustic and authentic. We ate here on the 29th December late into the evening, they had see-through covers up to keep you warm on the roof top. They also had heat lamps as well to make sure you were comfortable. The food was incredible! 4 of us had steak, I had the salmon….and Ive never had a piece of salmon cooked so beautifully! All of the dishes were cooked to perfection! The staff were wonderful, it was clear they were passionate about delivering an excellent service! Would highly recommend going here!!

Food was so good first time had to come back, lovely staff, unreal fresh food- the pork ribs are a fan favourite. If you’re looking for really good food and a quieter atmosphere compared to the rest of the restaurants in Albufeira this is the place to go

A cozy restaurant in Old Town that serves tasty and beautifully presented fish and meat dishes. Diego and Luigi are both attentive, informative & multilingual. There is an air of romance and fun. Definitely a favourite of ours.

Os Arcos was a small but very homey restaurant with the best meal we had in Portugal. The owner was our server and he was kind and enthusiastic. We ordered the Octopus a Lagariero and the Sirloin cooked Portuguese Style and both were incredible!!! Make this one of your visits when you stay in Albufeira.

Small lovely family restaurant with excellent food and outstanding service. Very child friendly. The Waiters, especially Louis and Eddie, love their job and are so sweet. Every restaurant can be grateful to have Louis in the team. First class fish and steak. Away from the tourist craziness, this place is all you need to be happy. No annoying promoters who want to sell you something, just authentic real love for food and dining. Absolutely outstanding private family atmosphere. We will surely come back. Could not recommend this enough! ❤

The plain, nondescript menu does not do this restaurant justice. The fish dishes are amazing! Our waiter was delightful and even gave us free Porto at the end of our meal. Off the beaten track a bit and in a calmer area. Recommended!!

Best restaurant we've ever been to on holiday, went Thursday and again on Friday. Just off the main Street in Albufeira old town, fantastic food and service, they had to turn so many away, when we got up to leave on Friday because there was a queue outside we were gestured to just relax, that's some customer service, they were more than happy for us to not rush than to get more people in. We had chicken peri peri and salmon on Thursday followed by creme brulee and lamb chops, ribs and more creme brulee on Friday all cooked to perfection, don't miss out on this gem of a restaurant.

A small but lovely little restaurant nestled in a side street in albufeira old town, this is the second year we have visited the restaurant and we went twice this year. My partner is a vegetarian and on both occasions she had the golden sea bream which was cooked to perfection and very tasty. I being a carnivore opted for the T bone steaks on both occasions, again Cooked perfectly and oh so moorish. We highly recomend this restaurant, inside or outside seating available and an excellent host who is very friendly and chatty.
