Delfina-Cantina Portuguesa

Enjoyed an evening meal here on our last night in Lisbon.
It is based on a corner of a quiet square just off the main area of the city centre.
We shared two starters, 2 mains, 2 glasses of wine & the bill was 75 euros, the food was really nice so worth paying a little bit extra for.
Sauteed Prawn starter & my Pork neck with a bread type of mash where both excellent.
Nice place for a treat meal.

This was by far some of the best food I had in Lisbon! I had the game sausage and it was absolutely massive, and had the taste and presentation of a very high end restaurant. I was very surprised to see a reasonable bill considering the food quality.
My wife had the cod and couldn't have recommended it enough.
It was also child friendly

What a great experience. We mainly ordered from the room service during our stay. The food is good. The price good for the quality of the product involved. And the cherry on the top. The staff here is amazing. This is probably the best highlight of this restaurant; the staff.

I discovered this place on internet and it was a nice find. It is situated in a square far away for the touristy crowd, therefore the atmosphere was very pleasant (we ate outside). The restaurant offers many different Portuguese typical dishes and we ordered the octopus, the confit duck, the pea soup, and the codfish fritters.
The white wine was good and most importantly, didn’t give us headache the morning after 😄 (unfortunately, I don’t remember the name).
If you are looking for a hidden gem with great atmosphere and local food, this place is perfect for you.

Lovely service, great wine selection, and standard Portuguese entrees. The dining room is hip: everything is excellent for the price except the automatic door that opens and closes for no reason allowing in cold air. I wouldn’t sit next to the windows in the winter time: engineering needs to fix this. Otherwise, a very positive enjoyable meal with friendly employees.

Great restaurant, we had our Christmas eve dinner here, a special 4 courses dish for 80€. The dishes were great, presentation was on point and taste was excellent. I enjoyed the dessert the most, a lot of interesting flavors combined together. Would definitely return to taste their a la carte menu.

Wonderful !! That is how I would describe my experience at Delfina-Cantina. We were greeted warmly and the service was exceptional throughout especially by Leonardo. He was extremely patient and very understanding of our choices. The recommendations were the Smoked Ham Pata Negra and the Codfish....both of which set up our appetite well for the main course.....we got the Chefs special duck rice and Mirandela Game sausage with egg spinach and chips..... Absolute culinary heaven. The rice had just the right flavor to blend in with the bacon and duck.... The Game sausage was baked and was crunchy on the outside and just cooked to perfection on the inside....a special show of appreciation to the chef. This was an unexpected 5 star experience and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Lisbon. 5 stars and 5 kisses for the service, ambiance and most importantly the cuisine!

We sat outdoors, the inside is nice also.

Great food and amazing service. A very good portuguese lunch experience in a nice and quite environment just minutes away of the beaten track.

Our favorite dinner in Lisbon! Located on a quiet but beautiful square (with live music being played). Every dish we had was spectacular. We shared four small plates (octopus salad, tempura green beans, mushrooms with asparagus and eggs, and bread with olive tapenade) and all were delicious. We each had a different fresh fish entree and they were outstanding. John Dory, sea bass and sole. We finished with a spectacular dark chocolate mousse finished with fresh orange zest and salt. Including two glasses of wine and an espresso martini, our bill with gratuity was 136 Euros (for 3 people, that’s so reasonable!). Highly recommend!!

Amazing food, great service. We had the Delfina Codfish and the Codfish a Bras and both were fantastic. A highlight of my trip to Lisbon.

Normally I think restaurants inside of a hotel may be a bit of a tourist trap, but not this one!! This was a delicious restaurant with authentic food and incredible vibes. Their tempura green beans were amazing.

This is a hidden gem in a heavy tourist area. The food is superb and at reasonable prices. Service is friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is quite nice. We had the Delfina cod, which was a unique preparation and totally scrumptious! My grilled sea bass was excellent too. Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates high quality and well presented food. Bom apetite!

We really enjoyed our breakfast! The host was very nice and friendly. He took the time to explain the menu to us and our experience was top notch!

The Delfina is a lovely spot to enjoy a fine dinner at. I was lucky enough to have a room in the hotel next door and had an outstanding steak experience there (see photos). The service was exquisite, spoke English fluently and left nothing to be desired! 5/5!

This was one of the best restaurants we dined in while is Lisbon a week ago. The dark chocolate mousse dessert was the best I have ever had, and the steak and chicken entrees are also first-rate. Extremely professional and engaging staff who provide excellent service - I highly recommend Delfina

Absolutely delicious! Duck was perfectly cooked 🤩. And the staff was so nice and friendly! I would definitely be back!

This is a great restaurant located in the ‘posh’ bit of Lisbon. It’s opposite the main government building. The meat, fish and wine on offer are great tasting, fresh and top quality. We paid around £60 for food and drink for two.
