I enjoyed the food and atmosphere overtaken by a server named davil(?). I'm not sure if the name is correct, but at least that's what I heard as non Portuguese speaker. I can speak a little bit of spanish, but it didn't help. This place specializes in grilled food, including fish and meat. I had grilled fish and the fresh fish was flavored with flame as if I eat caught fish directly cooked from bonfire. Had wine and dessert as well, and it was perfectly harmonious.

An amazing place to have a cheap and delicious lunch! We loved all of our meals and as well, 1L of house wine for €4,50. Everything is portuguese and it feels like a home cooked meal by a grandma! Really REALLY recommend it! Also, they do take card payments.

What a find!! Great atmosphere, excellent local food, cooked to perfection. The front of house guy was very attentive. 2 courses with local wine and coffee under €40. Not to be missed!!

It is like eating at home. Very loving people and high quality simpler meals. I strongly recommend it. Small restaurant with lots of character. They have been serving food for more than 30 years from what I could understand. Very cheap!!

Amazing place with amazing food and very authentic vibe. Don't expect waiters to speak english, so google some main words in advance. The food is top notch, prepared right next to you. It's the best place to get seated next to a local and embrace portuguese culture.

A small local restaurant with fresh grilled seafood. We had amazing sardines and calamari with salad and white wine. We recommend to come earlier because it can get crowded. Best food we had in Lisboa 😍

Small cozy place 100% portuguese old fashion! Big portions, small prices! A must in old Lisbon!

In one word: Value. This place has some of the most affordable prices you will see. Yet, the actual value comes from the amazing waiters (witty and candid) as well as the amazing quality of true Portuguese cousine! I know how 'basic' the pictures look, but don't let the presentation fool you. This is more than amazing.

Typical, delicious food of portugal with a surprisingly economical price. Their steak is fantastic, we slurped so fast that nothing remained for a picture. 😂

Hidden restaurant in the back streets of the main area. Generous amounts at a cheaper price than those near the square. The place was soon filled with locals: a good indication for the authenticity of the food. Overall great food.

Great food, relatively cheaper than other restos, our favorite in Lisboa by far. Small resto that gets full quickly so plan ahead.

Because I went when it rained cats & dogs and perhaps arrived a bit earlier for lunch, I almost dominates this restaurant luckily!

I had a plate of sardines which was awesome, just grilled at kitchen, came with boiled potatoes and salada. They also have meat menu too which I’d love to go back to try. Entirely pleasant experience :)

Excellent fish, fresh and tasty grilled. Home Dessert was also great and affordable prices. Easy and personal, very authentic. We went on a Saturday evening with no reservation, not many places, so better be there early and take it easy, you'll get a place. Friendly staff.

Very nice restaurant, the waiter is very friendly and can speak a few words in every language. the food is very tasty and inexpensive. We had portuguese cheese as a starter and steak portuease, fish and squid as a main course.

I am in love with this place! It's tucked away in a small alley in an area not particularly full of tourists. In fact, the other patrons were all locals. The place is not big, it's not fancy, it's not elegant. The menu is short and to the point. The star here is their grill, working full time to cook both fish and meat. And the result is nothing short of delicious. I had the most amazing seabass of my life. Simple as that. Grilled to absolute perfection, fresh, tasty, I gnawed on the bones to consume every bite of it! The sardines were just as spectacular. They offer fries, boiled potatoes and salad as side dishes, and there's a handful of desserts. Everything is made on the spot, and you're welcome to walk to the grill to watch as the magic happens. The prices are ridiculously honest, the portions more than generous. I cannot recommend it enough, so go and treat yourselves!

This place is not to be missed when you are visiting Lisbon. Nested in an uphill neighborhood, you will sense that this is the right place once you step in as it is no frills and plenty of locals patronizing. I ordered a grilled fish and wine, it took about 15min to be served. The fish was simply grilled with salt and it was super fresh. Managed by two elderly gentlemen, they are friendly and I will definitely anyone who comes Lisbon to pay them a visit.

I had the grilled sea bass, my husband the steak and our son had the grilled cuttlefish. The food all around was excellent, flavorful and fresh. The two gentlemen grilling and serving were very helpful. Rx
