Obsessed with this spot! Delicious food, amazing atmosphere in the heart of Sintra and amazing service!! We had Nuno as our host, he was funny and taught us a little bit of Portuguese. I definitely recommend! To top it off we had street music at the end of our meal, a true experience!

My wife and I stopped by for lunch. We had a “Francesinha” and an ”Alheira de caça com ovo e batata frita”, with some Sangria. Both dishes were delicious, the portions were just right, and the beverage was refreshing!

My wife and I stopped here for lunch today. A nice shady table helped us cool off while we enjoyed our meal.

My wife had a salad with chicken. I had the more traditional Francesinha sandwich. The food was great. My sandwich was well prepared with lightly browned chorizo and the sauce was delicious, not too spicy. The location is perfect for people watching and hanging out.

We had a lovely dinner, everything was perfect, really good food, very friendly staff. There was a singer at the square near the restaurant, so we enjoyed beautiful Portuguese music! Recommended!

Excellent restaurant where you can try some tipical portoguese dishes. The staff is really nice and welcoming and food is amazing. Everything with a good price/quality balance. Highly reccomended!

Perfect place to have lunch after a long day in Sintra :)
We ordered fried eggs with fresh peppers and fries, veg pastry with salad and garlic shrimp. Everything was just perfect.

Ordered a cabbage and sausage soup, pork cheek stew, squid rice, and shrimp acorda.

The soup was a great starter and struck the right balance without being too filling.

Pork cheek was cooked in red wine sauce. They were tender and flavorful

Shrimp acorda came with a fried egg and on top and had a rich flavour.

The squid rice was generous in proportions and was cooked just right.

Overall I would highly recommend this place

We were in the area doing a day long tour and lunch is on your own. Several restaurants/cafes to choose from but this was the first we came across. Tables inside and out so we grabbed a table under an umbrella outside with a view of the castle. We had to make sure they had gluten free options for my grown daughter. Our server Nuno was wonderful. He not only had great knowledge of the gf options but used his humor to make sure her needs were taken care of first (as they never are at most restaurants). She was thrilled her with meal of steak and eggs along with the octopus salad to start. Wonderful food and wonderful service!

We had some amazing sausages, they were so delicious we forgot to take a photo of this master dish! Wonderful place!

Came here for a late lunch after walking around the national park. The food here was much better than we expected. The eggs and fries were especially delicious. The staff was also very friendly. Would recommend for anyone looking for a hearty meal after sightseeing!

We came here twice on our trip to Sintra, very welcoming experience and the food is great! Carlos who helped us was wonderful!

We had a delicious Portuguese meal at Tasca Saloia! Service was super friendly and quick, prices were decent, location was fantastic! Only thing is that there is just one toilet, so there was a big line waiting.

Dinner for two with a bottle of red wine was about 65 euros. We tasted a several different appetizers instead of main dish and everything was delicious.

A great place to take a meal after wandering to the castles! The food and dessert were extremely delicious that I didn't want them to finish! The stuff was very polite and the place was clean. You mustn't miss it if you visit Sintra!

Quite surprised this place didnt get any reviews. Asked the waiter, and they are in business for several years. Nice traditional Portuguese dishes with a twist. Beautiful interior and dishes. Nice selection of wines and reasonable prices for the historic part of Sintra.

Happened upon this wonderful experience after a day of palace site seeing. Came for just a glass of wine and a few small dishes, but absolutely loved the location and atmosphere. Server was very attentive and helpful. Would recommend sitting outside with a glass of wine to enjoy the beauty of Sintra!
