Tasca do Xico

Really loved the experience. The location is excellent, in the middle of Sintra; so you’re walking by amazing buildings and breathtaking views and then just few meters away you have this place.
The staff is super friendly and was very attentive to detail. Quality of the food is top, very tasty and prices, for the location, quality and the big portions, are super cheap.
Can’t recommend this place enough.

We were in town after all the buses and people left and found Tasca do Xico. Bella, our server, met me with a hug! She was wonderful! 26 years at the restaurant. She gave us great dinner suggestions and wine selection. Sat us at the ‘Chef’s Table’ (as we called it in front of the kitchen) and enjoyed a very memorable meal. Top notch!!

Quiet restaurant, very fast service, helpful waiters, answered our questions. Octopus was fantastic, their Xico cod was different and delicious. Sangria finished the meal perfectly.

Delicious food and excellent anticipating service. The waitress was reading our minds about what we like to eat. We enjoyed it. We chose shrimp in garlic oil as a starter, steak in beer sauce, and codfish as the main. Great.

What a little place on the very small streets in the old town of Sintra with an excellent vibrant service of Bella. We were looking to eat some small plates and this place is a gem, everything was so delicious and very informative for all the employees.

The wait staffs are one of the most helpful and nicest I met. Food is exceptionally good in here. I had the rice of sea and it’s delicious.

Amazing steak on beer sauce with garlic, fried egg on the top with fries. I fully recommend 🙏. My friend had a tuna hamburger and she loved it too.

Delicious! We got white sangria, grilled shrimp, cheese board & meat croquettes after walking through Pena Palace and Moorish Castle. It was the perfect afternoon pick-me-up before we went on to see more. We sat in a quaint alleyway and enjoyed people watching while we ate. Our food looked so good the people who sat next to us asked what we got and ordered the same! Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

Very delicious Portuguese food, we had pulo a lagareiro, pastel de bacalhau and rissol. The service was good. The place is in a charming location in Sintra Downtown.

A really good restaurant! We ordered the tuna steak, and veggie burgers, some cheese and portvine and ice cream for dessert. It was the best food experience in sintra and Lissabon combined. And our waitress was so nice. We would recommend this place to everybody who wants a good autentic food experience in Portugal!

This place was delicious! The cubed beef with pickles was tasty, as well as the beef entree with cream sauce and French fries. The service was amazing — highly recommend!

The service was extremely friendly, the food exceeded all expectations (had the Xico Steak, it was simply INCREDIBLE), and the Sangria was one of the best we ever had.

Small corner restaurant with the nicest staff and simply stunning food! Ordered prawns a guilho and sardine toast as a snack, but left with a full stomach.

The Arroz Del Mar really hit the spot for us, leaving us wanting more. Glad to have tried it at Tasco do Xico. Service was warm and kind, like going to your favourite local place in your own home town.

We are from Singapore and first trip to Sintra. Very surprised to find such a good and authentic Portuguese restaurant. Thumbs up!
