Absolutely fabulous place to have an elaborate meal. The server was very polite and extremely well versed with Portuguese cuisine and not to forget the wines :) extremely great value for money when it comes to the food and overall experience. Wouldn't recommend missing it!

This cozy, rustic restaurant served us without a reservation after we had arrived in the area late in the evening. It was a cold winter night, and the restaurant had a fireplace lit, along with a video of a fireplace up on the TV. There was no annoying ambient music, only the happy conversation (in Portuguese) of other diners. The house wine was great as were the bread and olives, and both our main courses were flavorful and well prepared. Portions were large. Note for fellow foreigners, true of all Portuguese restaurants: the snacks that arrive at the table before you order, i.e. bread, olives, fish paste, are not free, so they should be ignored if you are not interested in them and do not want them added to your bill.

Small but picturesque place, good food and nice presentation! Quick service, friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. Totally recommend!

The restaurant of a dream to eat with children. A playground, wonderful nature, lots of space around and no cars danger. We were on a hurry but cancelled our plans and stayed for several hours.

Excellent food and service with friendly host. We ate inside and had coffee on the patio after lunch can’t say enough about the food as the pictures speak for themselves!

A very special location down the hill from Sintra town. Rustic feeling building with garden and small playground for kids. Has a horse farm right next to it too.

Really friendly service and good English. Food was great and lots of Portuguese dishes. Amazing warm bread roles in the cover. We got a lasagna which was huge and then a load of the Pesticos (like the clams) which were all very good value for money.

I have to also say a massive thanks to the waiter: there was an engagement party going on and they had a cake in the back of the restaurant. Our bloody 3 year old just went up to the cake and stuck his finger into it leaving a really obvious finger hole. No one from the engagement party saw but we felt bad and told the waiter to see if we could figure out a plan to fix it together. He was super nice immediately and told us not to worry and they'd sort it. Really was the nicest way to handle the situation.

Really felt like a perfect, non-flashy place to have lunch and totally cool with the kids.

One thing: doesn't accept cards so bring cash. Tbf we didn't have cash and so owner let me pay into his Revolut.

I liked a lot my experience here. Restaurant has both indoor and outdoor spaces. Food is really tasty: our bacalhau com broa and arroz de polvo were wonderfully cooked, not too salty, not fat, broa is crispy, polvo is tender, good beer. Highly recommended.

Super nice staff, very nice ambience, best vines, best quality of the food. Very, very delicious, but normal prices. Must try steaks and ribs! We were there twice in a row (October 13th/14th, 2022) and would have gone more often if our vacation had not ended.

From service to food and wine to desert this is a must if you’re in the are. Make sure to make reservations though as they are busy. Wish I could have tried more but the cod and the beef steak were amazing! Thank you for everything

Of all of the meals I ate in Portugal, this one was the best. Not only was the staff amazing, the resident cat sociable and adorable, but we ate outside in an eclectic yard that had a lot of personality. The food was nothing short of spectacular - the soup, the smoked honey chorizo, the lasagna. It was a phenomenal experience.

Really good traditional Portuguese food. Excellent Gambás a guilho and mushroom risotto. Lovely outside seating, good service and value for money.

I loved the food and the atmosphere, staff were very friendly and went the extra mile to make our evening memorable. It's my favourite place to eat in Sintra.

To my British eyes a nondescript building from the outside but a well fitted restaurant inside with outside terrace. Homely, not pretentious. Gorgeous Portuguese food, all home cooked. Charming Portuguese lady owner speaks excellent English and French.

Wow we were left speechless by the service we got in this restaurant. Very helpful staff and they speak very good English. The food is delicious. The surroundings of this restaurant is very beautiful and there's also horses on site which makes the place more amazing. Thank you for a wonderful evening

A wonderful place in the countryside with nice relaxing atmosphere, great music and seating outside. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and service.

Great service, good menu. Vegetarian and non vegetarian options. Good selection of wine. Speaks English. Ask for whatever else you might fancy that is not on the menu, they might have it

Great place, fabulous setting, refreshingly different menu than the 'typical' Portuguese - we love going there!
