The fish and shrimp appetizer were both cooked perfectly, and paired with the salad and suggested wine. All prices were explained up front, great value!

We ordered grilled fish and prawn.. everything is very tasty.. the daily soup is a must.. service is top notch too.. the price is a bit higher compare to others, but worth it with the services and the atmosphere

Delicious grilled sardines and the rice with vegetables was very tasty, with great service.

Palatos is a top food and service I had a great time at my husband's parents'50th anniversary.

Fish will be served from fresh oven outside. It tastes amazing.

This restaurant has the best fish/seafood soup in Portugal! Made with smoked fish .. so rich and delicious. Definitely coming back for more!

An Amazing restaurant. Premium service and exceptional food. Just off the main streets in Matosinohs. Prices are absolutely in line with what you get (no more no less). Personnel is friendly and speak English.

Had one of the best fish soup (fish chowder) since several years. Sardines, although frozen (sigh), were fried to perfection in clean oil.
If I've to be picky, the only thing that was not perfect was the octopus, nor cooked on a charcoal grill but on - probably - gas plate not cleaned enough that left a tiny bit of bitter taste.

Clean, though small toilets inside, where a much bigger restaurant room is awaiting you. So don't judge the restaurant just from the exterior.

Absolutely recommend for your fish extravaganza in Portugal.

Had a great time at this restaurant. Had a large prawn, clams and sea bream. Everything was grilled to perfection! Prices were reasonable and service was great. There are a good number of restaurants within this stretch of the city all next to the pier where the fishing boats dock. We are very happy we found this one. Would recommend to anyone in the area.

This is a little gem. Portions are huge, the service is outstanding and the fish super fresh. The lovely staff go above and beyond to make sure you experience is excellent. We had fried octopus and a grilled fish, everything is freshly cooked while you sit in there and their potatoes are to die for! Fantastic experience, every time we go to Porto this is our place for lunch :) well done guys, see you next time!

Very nice restaurant to go with friends. Nice atmosphere, good service and marvellous food! It is always good to return here and find that it never changes and continues as good as always.

great fresh food (sea bass and sardines) cooked the right way. simply grilled olive oil salt and lemon. ceviche was also fresh but i would wait a while till the olive oil and vinegar "cooks" it just right. staff were very professional. would love to go back and try some more.

From the street we thought that is a simple restaurant with the fish grill in the street, but inside is a very nice restaurant with white tableclothes and excellent service. Highly recomend the calamari, but also the fish is perfectly grilled. And the vino verde is also perfect with the fish.

Back to our favorite seafood grill restaurant in Porto. Yes, street side, yes far away, yes no Michelin Star so what. Octopus salad, sardines, seafood soup and...and... the Plato Vino Verde ..Si Si Si... just fresh, just feezy, just perfect! Thank to Helder... we have been again and we will go again!

The sea bass is amazing! The texture is so soft and it’s cooked very well. The fish also comes with a side of potatoes that are seasoned well! Will be coming back :)

An amazing restaurant located in Matosinhos. We had sardines and it tasted incredibly fresh and tasty. Loved it. Apart from the fish we also recommend Natas do Ceu, cream of the sky which we had as a dessert.

One of the most delicious sea food restaurants I’ve ever experienced

We had a very late lunch here with six people on a very busy public holiday afternoon. The restaurant was packed and there was a long wait, about 45 minutes.

We have two fish, a sole and a turbot, and skewers of squid and shrimp. The seafood was perfectly grilled outdoors. They also served smashed potatoes and salad. It was all delicious and the wines made it better.

Service was great once we were seated. I think that they were struggling to manage the wait list. We were seated in a sunny area; they could have seated us at a better table out of the hot sun but it seemed one server was moving tables around without a plan for those waiting to be seated. They need better organisation for guests waiting to be seated.

Overall great food and value.
