Alba Gelato

For the tourists that want to get away from the crowds, this is a relaxing place to to stop and eat gelado. It is very close to the Sintra train station but just far enough away it is not jammed with people.. FYI, they are closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

I moved to Sintra area in 2020 and I often stop here after a hike or when I'm going to watch the sunset in the park across the street. They have a nice patio, the gelado is made right in the store. I typically get Café (Coffee) or framboesa (Raspberry). When blueberries are in season she will make a batch.

Recently she made some gelado with fruit that came from tree about 150 meters away, it was delicioso:-)

It’s amazing!!!Pistachio flavor is the best gelato I’ve ever had. The coconut with coconut flakes and red fruits is also very tasty. Regret not discovering it earlier. I will go again tomorrow😍😍😍

All I can say is….. YUMMY!!! We had the salmon sandwich (tosta) — buttery fresh baked bread encasing delicately smoked salmon with melted cream cheese. A classic! We also tried one of the crepes (lots of choices but sweet and savory)—also smoked salmon. This was topped with tomato and arugula. Fresh, light, healthy—delish!!! Our lunch experience was the most delightful due to the excellent customer service of the servers Helen and Noemi! The owners were accessible and welcoming!

This cafe is worth a visit! Very tasty homemade breakfast at unbeatable prices. The food is freshly prepared, so the waiting time is a bit longer. The price-performance ratio is great!

True to most reviewers this place has great gelato with deep flavors. I liked the one with 70% cocoa and maracuyá. Prices and size are decent for quality. These gelato are hand made in the store! Super clean restrooms. Have a look at the great details such as the rosemary planted at the garden and the light fixture inside!

Very yummy gelato! I had the pistachio which was insanely delicious and white chocolate which I had never had and it was literally just the right sweetness. My friend had the coconut and also the macadamia nut flavors which she liked though she said the texture of the coconut wasn't exactly how she likes it (flakes vs grated) but it didn't stop her from eating it. Plus she had never had macadamia nut flavor so that was a plus.

The ice creams are homemade and plainly devine. The place is unbelievably clean and the staff is super professional and nice. The view from the terrace is worth s million.

A nice cafe within walking distance from the Sintra train station. Not much variety for vegans, but my partner and I shared a vegetarian toast and soy milk cappuccino. They accept payment by card. The price was average, about what you would expect in an area focused on tourism. The owners were kind and friendly, and made an effort to accommodate our dietary restrictions.

What a wonderful place - it's our second visit, and we were happy to come back - great ice cream cakes and coffee.

We visited this lovely cafe on (UK) Mother's Day, which happens to be Father's day in Portugal! I ordered a Pastel de Nata, the traditional egg and butter custard tart. It was absolutely delicious 😋.I also ordered a coffee cappuccino. My husband had a plain croissant 🥐 and a cappuccino. Freshly baked food and lovely ambience. Don't miss it.

Genuinely one of the best ice creams I have ever had!! Incredible flavour and texture - highly recommend macadamia flavour! Sorbets also incredible, lemon sorbet from lemons squeezed from her own lemon tree! Gem of a place.

Stopped by for a café and ice-cream. Everything was great and the service was excellent. The courtyard is very cozy with a great view.
