We stop here on a tour and the food was delicious. The veil on grill was very tasty and they cook the meat as much as you want. House wine was very good.

Really nice place for an authentic Portuguese meal if you come visit Arouca by car. They have a good sized parking lot in front. The dishes were well served, good sized portions. Fresh orange juice pressed for you just after ordered. The waitress was also very attentive to all the tables, answered our questions about the dishes as well. Also nice atmosphere and decorations, the chairs are really nice looking old style, sturdy. Interesting photos of the region on the wall. Would definitely come back. Well done!

De todas as experiências que tivemos em restaurantes em Arouca, o restaurante “Alto da estrada” foi a experiência gastronómica mais genuína que tivemos. Mesmo! Comemos o “Bacalhau à alto da estrada” e o “costeletão” e ainda dividimos um leite creme maravilhoso! Pratos muito bem servidos, muito saborosos e genuínos! O atendimento foi igualmente generoso e simpático. De todas as experiências gastronómicas que tivemos em Arouca esta foi, sem dúvida, a melhor.

Excelente restaurante, ja venho aqui a cerca de 15 anos. Todos anos marco presença, para quem aprecia boa comida e boa carne, aqui é indicado. Para quem gosta de Macdonald não venha! Excelente cozinha regional com a excelente carne da zona protegida de Arouca da raça Arouquense! Não é barato a refeição mas é muito bem servido
